Reviews
Our room was on first floor. So we had to carry all our luggage through the stairs during check-in and check out. The rooms were not too clean. You could spot dust everywhere from top of the light fixtures to the corners behind the furniture.
When it comes to the kitchen, it doesn't have any designated entry. And it is wide open next to the check-in desk and the pool. For the breakfast, they don't serve any thing fresh. All you have available is bread, boiled egg, coffee/ tea, apples.
The pool ad the hot tub didn't seem like up to standard [appearance] . So me and the kids didn't even go there.
Another big highlight of this place is that the railway track is just behind the hotel, probably less than 30 feets away. The sound of the trains on the track and it's squeaky noise of the trains break pads in action can make you really uncomfortable at regular intervals. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone with any heaing issues like tinitness, hearing aides, migraine .
Overall the stay was disappointing enough that we regretted staying in there. The town itself and the area around was gorgeous.
The room was clean definitely an older hotel and it does show in the hot tub room and bathrooms especially. Gym is great. The eggs sucked, and the coffee wasn’t great but it was free breakfast.
The free breakfast was good, but it would have been better with at least another protein choice. Had a hot tub, closed at 10 pm. Unfortunately, the closest restaurant , next door, closed at 9 pm. Large parking lot. I would stay again.
That said, our room was located at the very end of a hallway where smokers were going outside and leaving the door propped open, this allowed cold air to pour down the hallway and into our room as there was no proper sweep on the bottom of our room door, just a gap. I had to lift the door stop and close it a handful of times during the evening. The door itself has a swipe card access on it so the door stop should be removed and people just use their card to get in and out. Leaving it propped open also allows people from the street easy access into the hotel. Not very safe.
The hotel is also not very well insulated from the sound of constant trains running through Revelstoke at all hours of the day, so you will hear the constant chugging of locomotives as you’re trying to sleep. We got hardly any rest as a result.
The girl at the front desk was nice enough but pretty unconcerned about our complaints regarding the ‘smoking door’ by our room. Overall it wasn’t a super positive experience and we wouldn’t stay here again, especially given the price we paid for one night in early April.
Opinion was not dealt with adequately by management. I also had a very negative ( and chilly) experience getting locked out because my room key was faulty and there was no one manning the front desk that night which was supposed to be 24 hours. The gym is non existent essentially if that’s important to you which it is to me. Especially since the local gym is a 25 minute walk and $18 dollar drop in fee. There is laundry facilities in the one building which is convenient. Housekeeping needs some
Big improvements as well. ( several
Times no replenished supplies and bathroom not cleaned etc). Now. On to a more positive note . The staff here was fabulous. Really friendly and did everything within their power to help us. One of the most exceptional employees I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting was Kim. This young man should be teaching customer service protocol! I can’t emphasize enough the time and care he put into giving us the best experience. He holds a positive attitude and spirit that permeates the hotel and is contagious. He returns home
To Korea soon and I am grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing him and I’m sure he will be missed dearly by coworkers and guests alike. Kim THANK YOU for all of your efforts and exceptional service.
The breakfast is simple but functional, it'll get you going for the day. I see the staff working hard there to get everything ready for guests and the reception was helpful and friendly. Zero complaints. It ain't a 5-star hotel nor is it trying to be. It even has 2 EV charging spots. For what it is, I'll give it high marks. If I need to stay here again, would definitely return. Highly recommended.

Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
Especially since they don't offer decaffeinated coffee and I had to backtrack to mcdonald's.
I would be a lot more understanding if they were busy, but they were empty except for me and another person.
I will not be going back there ever. I'll drive a little bit further to get to another place to eat.
