We stayed here two times in different types of rooms and it was great each time. Dorms are pretty spacious too and lots of shared toilets and showers. The location is great to explore some nice neighbourhoods and close to Cerro San Cristobal. Also just a 5min walk to the metro which was super useful.

What sets this hostel apart is definitely the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They let us leave a backpack for some time while we were in Patagonia which was super appreciated! I would come back again :)

A great hostel in a fabulous location! It's in an artistic neighbourhood with lots of artists, markets, bars, etc. The hostel was impeccably clean and the staff were friendly. The extra breakfast was filling and there was plenty outdoor spaces to create a good vibe in the hostel.

I only stayed for a night - the hostel was super nice and had a great location! They let me store my backpack for two weeks! Highly recommend!

I would avoid this hostel.
Rooms are dirty and smell horrible. The staff agreed to change the cover of the pillow and the duvet, but it should be changed anyways..
breakfast is cheap and nice, location is also very good, but sleeping in a dirty room with lots of flies, and a smell so strong, that you can’t even breathe, is definitely not adequate for such a price.. what a shame.

also, to add to a very clever response of the staff:

Honestly, justifying tragic conditions as “the cheapest option” sounds extremely unprofessional. The “cheapest option” at your hostel cost me 16 EUR, for which almost anywhere in South America you would find not only decent conditions but also a private room. If a “cheapest option” that costs 16 EUR means flies, a strong stench in the room, broken sewage, and dirty bed sheets, I hardly believe that any other option you offer would be any better. And in fact, if you haven’t noticed, you have a very large number of negative reviews. Therefore, I would recommend making even your cheapest rooms humane, because even if it seems cheap to you, for the community you are creating this hostel for, it is not a cheap option. Take care.

I had made a reservation in which I specifically mentioned Id need to drop off my luggage a week before in order to leave some things in Santiago while traveling. They assured me it was ok, but when I got there not only did they not have a special room for where to store my luggage (which would be ok, but beforehand they told me they had such a place) but also did the guy working the reception seem to be either completely sleep derived or on some drugs. He seemed generally annoyed and not helpful at all. In the end I went with a different hostel

The location was close to bars , parks, restaurants and the room was spacious and cosy. The hostel was a nice one also, with free coffee and tea and a kitchen and a smoking area and a hangout area aswell.
Recommend for a few nights for sure.

A wonderful hostel with extremely helpful staff thanks Juan and Guillermo and others! Staff create a wonderful atmosphere in the hostel, provide advice, look after safety and it’s easy to meet other travellers snd get advice. I had the top room which is a fairy book fantastic and a dream to stay in. Bathroom good enough. I highly recommend!

Night staff member was friendly but also sang music so could hear in my room - so also bad sound insulation. Morning staff member indifferent and seemed standoffish, better off asking Google than her. Weird-ass token system for breakfast where you go to the front desk for a token and then you give it to the breakfast server who picks out the food for you as you choose it. So he just stares at you while you're looking at the choices. Food was not good, was cold, and small portioned even though in theory you're allowed to take as much as you want. But you only get to go to the feeding trough once so you better know how hungry you are. WiFi fast. Bathroom had too much chemicals used to be cleaned, smelled bad all night. Bed was terrible, you sink in and then can't move. Area is dangerous, Uber driver warned me not to be around the area at night.

Easy to access from the metro and the staff were very helpful. We had an early flight into Santiago and they let us store our bags there until check in while we went out and explored the city. They were also able to point us in the direction of a free city tour and helped us arrange a taxi to the airport for our early flight out when it was time to leave.
