Best hostel in GZ! Friendly and helpful staff, Great Atmosphere, excellent location, 10mins walk to the metro station, Big Kitchen. lots of variety beers from different countries, I definitely will come back again!

Lazy Gaga Hostel is an extremely well thought out hostel within an iconic part of old Guangzhou. To be honest, I feel a hostel is incomplete without a common area where travelers can meet and share their presences with others. I have stayed in about two dozen hostels in the past few years and sometimes common areas were nonexistent, too small to accommodate the free spirited energy there, or too big because there are no guests. Lazy Gaga seems provide that spacious common area and the foot traffic of travelers. Various boundaries have been set in place for maximum comfort, entertainment, and solitude--if you want to be alone, you can head to the mezzanine within the common area. Please don't forget to enjoy the old Guangzhou sights that are disappearing quickly!

Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Everyone was very helpful with directions and places to visit.

Very cosy social areas, there a raised area full with cushions where you can sit and relax whilst playing some board games.

Very clean and tidy hostel.

Central location just a few minuets from the underground trains and shops and restaurants all around.

I spent a wonderful weekend at lazy gaga. The staff is very helpful at advising what to do in the city. In addition to the excellent location and tidy rooms, the common area is biggest plus of lazy gaga hostel. Everyone gathers in the evenings to play pool and exchange thoughts over the large selection of imported beers (they even had oranjeboom!!). Definitely coming back the next time I'm here...
