This hotel is a mixed bag. The river view is absolutely stunning, the ambiance is fantastic, and the location is perfect – it's practically inside the scenic area. If these are your priorities, then book it without hesitation. However, and this is a major issue for a five-star hotel, there's practically no service to speak of. I'm not exaggerating; the service is worse than hotels half its price....

The hotel is conveniently located near all the attractions. The facilities are excellent, and the breakfast tea is top-notch. However, the service attitude of the staff at Hongtu Mansion was quite unpleasant. The surrounding amenities of the hotel are generally good.

This time, I chose to stay in a river-view king room. Although the hotel is a bit old, the overall facilities, amenities, ambiance, and service are maintained at a high standard. The only minor disappointment was finding sunflower seed shells left by a previous guest on the room's carpet upon check-in.

Staying at the White Swan Hotel, I enjoyed the guest privilege of having breakfast at two well-known teahouses without waiting in line. The staff were very friendly, the food was outstanding, and I was extremely satisfied. The nightly turn-down service was especially thoughtful. I will definitely return.

Facilities: The facilities are quite old; there are no smart curtains or toilets. The window in this room type is only a small half-pane (see picture), so the natural light isn't great. The lights on the TV wall are very dim, and I initially thought they were broken and wouldn't turn on. The soundproofing is really poor; I could clearly hear conversations from the next room. Overall, I'm very satisfied. The location is excellent, right on Shamian Island, and there's a parking lot with unrestricted in-and-out access during your stay, which is very convenient. The hotel service is great; they're very responsive to all requests. The rooftop pool is a bit small and not a standard lap pool.

A historic hotel with excellent management and service. The overall environment is great. It's super convenient to take the subway to Chen Clan Academy, which is just a 400-meter walk away. I woke up early and walked three minutes to enjoy Qiaomei's dim sum, specifically waiting until 11 AM for their char siu.

The location is excellent, right on Shamian Island with beautiful surroundings. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel itself is a historic building, and the Xiguan Yue restaurant on the second floor offers superb dim sum for breakfast and delicious dinner, all with attentive and warm service.

The hotel is too old and hasn't been updated. The facilities are really poor. There's no hot air conditioning, just a thin duvet. They couldn't provide an electric heater, only offered a blanket, and it was still cold at night. The bathroom was also subpar. The only good thing about this place is its location on Shamian Island.

The room was quite damp and had a slight musty smell. The heating didn't work, and the duvet was very thin, so it was too cold to sleep at night. I wouldn't choose this place again unless absolutely necessary in winter. The location is excellent, right opposite the White Swan Hotel.

Centrally located in business district within ample restaurants. Foods price is very reasonable and traditional. Local wet market is near by. Metro station is about 20 minutes walk.

It operates on two floors of a multi-tenant building. The cleanliness is probably acceptable even to Japanese people. The rooms lack a refrigerator and a security box, which is a bit inconvenient.
