Grand Rezen Hotel Merryland in Changshu

The service was excellent! They provided a complimentary breakfast for our child, along with fruit and kids' toiletries. We also received a Kao travel set, which was a nice touch. The breakfast selection was vast and delicious. Our room was spacious, and all the in-room drinks were free. Truly impressive! Highly recommend!

Staff was friendly and accommodating especially when we don’t speak Chinese. Food was the best very nutritious and simple and yum. My son really enjoyed the pool and very good that it was warm. Gym was very good and really good idea that a lounge area with kids play area next to the gym

Extremely satisfied! The hotel is very spacious, and parking is convenient. There are several restaurants nearby, and it's about a 3km drive to the pedestrian street. When checking in, the front desk was very thoughtful; seeing that we had elderly people and children, they helped connect two standard rooms for us. Breakfast was also very rich, with wontons, noodles, and plenty of meat dishes.

This used to be the Four Points by Sheraton Daning, but it's since changed its name. However, the restaurant, The Eatery, kept its original name. The rooms aren't huge, but the twin beds are each over 1.3 meters wide, which made for a comfortable sleep. If you're traveling with seniors or children, you can use the gym or swimming pool. Just be aware that these facilities are open to the public, and the bi-monthly passes are quite cheap, so they get extremely crowded in the afternoons and evenings. It's best to go in the morning for swimming or working out.

Booked this hotel for Angela Chang's concert in Changshu. While the decor is a bit dated, the environment is still quite good and clean. The breakfast was also decent and plentiful. They have a large swimming pool and gym, but the pool was too crowded, so I couldn't get in.

The hotel is located in a bustling area, with bus access to anywhere you want to go. A ride-sharing car to the starting point of the Yushan Xiongying Line costs 19 yuan. The windows can't be opened at all, so the only way to get some fresh air is through the air conditioning. However, the smell of smoke from the hallway seeps into the room and can't be aired out. The bed is quite comfortable, and there are four cans of drinks and bottled water provided daily. Breakfast is plentiful, but it ends too early. Other five-star hotels usually serve until 10 AM, which is much more accommodating for those who like to sleep in.

I booked two rooms for two nights, each including breakfast and a meal at the cha chaan teng (Hong Kong-style cafe) daily.

The hotel is conveniently located; you can take a bus directly from the high-speed rail station, which takes about 20 minutes, and it's just a short walk from the bus stop.

I informed them in advance that it was my sister's birthday, so one of the rooms was decorated and came with a fruit platter, which made my sister very happy.

Last night, we received complimentary mung bean soup and a fan, but it seems there was nothing tonight.

The swimming pool is outsourced, so even non-guests with a membership can use it. However, the smoke smell was far too strong. I ended up opening a few windows and staying for only half an hour before leaving because I couldn't stand the secondhand smoke.

There were also people smoking in the hallways and elevators; a strong smell of smoke hit you as soon as you entered. I hope the hotel can implement stricter controls regarding this.

The service, however, was excellent. The rooms provided small bottles of shampoo, shower gel, and lotion. Since we were hiking and swimming, we showered two or three times a day, and with long hair, we used a lot. I called several times for refills, and they were always promptly delivered.

The room was spacious and clean, with complete facilities. The high floor offered a great view. The service was excellent; they delivered fruit in the afternoon and even brought takeout right to our door. The hotel breakfast had a wide variety and tasted delicious. Highly recommend!

This hotel isn't the most expensive, but it's definitely the warmest I've ever stayed in. From the facilities and cleanliness to the front desk and restaurant service, every detail shows their professionalism and dedication. It was a wonderful stay.

I booked this hotel when I went to climb Yushan Mountain in Changshu. Considering it was during the Qingming holiday, the price was quite good. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, offering great value for money. Friends visiting Changshu should definitely consider it. There's also a fantastic restaurant near the hotel with amazing big meat buns and all-you-can-eat congee. The owner is very kind, and the food exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!
