Holiday Inn Changzhou Wujin by IHG in Changzhou

Nice, clean room. Friendly staff. Easy check-in & out. (I pre-reserved). I included breakfast during my stay. Quite a variety of food selections. I'm very happy with this hotel.

The location was tranquil and green and easy for an undisturbed nights sleep..Reception were very helpful helping me to organise a taxi to my n xt destination....
Room was clean and bright with a nice outlook. A good solid budget choice...

Was good

The hotel has a great location, making it convenient for getting around. The rooms are large and clean. It has its own parking lot, the breakfast is excellent, with a good balance of Chinese and Western options, and the service is very good. The receptionist, Xiao Xiao, was very welcoming. Overall, I had a great experience at the hotel and would recommend it to my friends.

Comfy rooms, swimming pool wasn't available at this time

The hotel is easy to find, has a beautiful environment, comfortable and clean rooms, and complete facilities. Parking is also convenient. The breakfast is plentiful, and the service attitude and service awareness are excellent. What I was most satisfied with was the warm and thoughtful service at the front desk.

I had booked the Sheraton Wujin, but had to change hotels at the last minute. The Holiday Inn here feels like an older five-star hotel in terms of design and layout. The guest rooms and public facilities are quite large, suggesting poor management led to a change in management company and a downgrade to Holiday Inn. The outer plaza and public areas are quite old, with severely damaged paving stones. Given that it opened in 2008, the 2019 renovation likely only involved partial interior repairs. So while not exactly ancient, it definitely feels outdated. Of the two annexes, one was closed and locked, while the other housed swimming and fitness facilities. The lobby bar, probably to reduce operating costs, had its central bar unattended during the National Day holiday. The presence of a box piano was completely out of place in the large space; at least a grand piano would have been appropriate. The sign saying "For display only, do not touch" was absurd. It's the first time I've seen a hotel lobby bar piano so strictly off-limits to guests. It's like they're trying to prevent non-teachers from accidentally pressing the wrong keys, or telling the front desk to look at the sign when asking if they can play… It was very disappointing. The doorman was very helpful, opening car doors and helping with luggage. However, the lighting in the porch was too weak; from a distance, it was pitch black with only scattered lights, revealing a sense of cost-cutting and operational difficulties. The pool temperature was extremely low; advertised as 28 degrees Celsius, it was actually less than 20 degrees. There was no lifeguard on duty, and with over a dozen children playing in, I specifically called the pool receptionist to replace them. What were the hotel thinking if an accident occurred? Is it possible to cut costs like this? The room was typical of hotels from over a decade ago. The old 30-inch TV seemed out of place next to the bed, the mini-bar refrigerator was empty and barely cooling, and the cabinet doors were warped and bent from the hinges—everything about it looked old. The so-called 20,000-square-meter park behind the hotel is actually a municipal public park connected to a municipal road, and its maintenance is questionable. The price increase during the National Day holiday wasn't significant, and last-minute bookings were plentiful, perhaps reflecting the hotel's market situation. Bruce at the front desk provided excellent service.

The room was spacious and very clean, especially the bathroom. There's a large green space behind the hotel; taking a walk after breakfast was really pleasant.

The hotel offers great value for money and is highly recommended.

Front desk staff Chen Chen helped upgrade my room; her warm service reflected the high standards of InterContinental staff. Thank you.

Overall, a perfect stay during my trip.

A great experience.
