Yuhuai Renjia Inn in Lijiang

A really perfect stay for our family! We stayed five nights upstairs which had a balcony with a spectacular view of the pavilion on top of Lion Mountain - especially gorgeous at night! The room was big and everything was functional. The best part was the service and the manager who provided excellent recommendations of restaurants in Old Town - what to try and what to avoid. We ate well everyday with his restaurant recommendations! He also took the time to take us to a tea shop since we wanted to gift some Yunnan tea but have little experience with tea (and too many tea shops in Old Town to know who to trust). Very knowledgeable of everything including tourist attractions and tickets and transport. Also ample water available to help yourself during the stay. The location of the home stay is perfect - close enough to the edge of Old Town (North Gate) for exploring other areas, but easy access to all of Old Town, right by Wuyi Street. It’s a 20 min walk to Zhongyi Market (also many yummy eats and fruits veggies) where we picked up the 101 bus to Yulong Snow Mountain. One should note that all of Old Town is rather old, so traditional courtyards like this aren’t the best for soundproofing if you are sensitive to sound, but it did not bother us or our toddler for naps and night sleep. Our child loved the dog as other reviews mention - she felt very at home with the friendly people and a warm welcoming environment. Thank you for allowing us to relax so well at your homestay! 🌹

The hotel is in a great location. Close to the central part of the Ancient City but a good few minutes away from any loud music at night. Comfortable bed, clean sheets and towels. Added bonus...the cutest dog that loves to have you play tug of war with him. Would gladly stay again.

Room was like a too-good-to-be-true for the price. Most importantly, the service was great and the staff were friendly & really helpful. Will come here again for sure!

The environment is clean and sanitary, and it is very comfortable to live in the central street.The dog barks Panpan and will tug of war.

Place is not the newest, amenities are more basic but has the fundamental. Furniture a little dated, lights in the bathroom was a bit on the dim side. But I extended my stay there cos the owner and housekeeping lady were very nice and helpful, and invited me to eat dinner with them for quite a number of nights, felt more like staying at a friend's place. Location is good, near the main road where its convenient to get a ride, and not near the super touristy streets with throngs of people and bars. Overall, if you don't need bells and whistles and are just looking for a decent, inexpensive place, this is good enough :)
