Bellapais Monastery Hotel

Hotel ok but service not always great as we were only a couple. They seem to be more attentive to groups. And as long as you don’t bother them too much they are smiling. If you ask something when they are busy with group they don’t seem to want to know you anymore. They supposed to offer room service during the day. Had lunch food ok but when I asked for dessert they told me 4 minutes. After 30 minutes I rang back to be told they didn’t have what I wanted and offered me options I didn’t like. I was told that they were too busy anyway as a group was in the restaurant so I complained about the fact that I wasn’t told that they had ran out of what I wanted when I ordered it. They should have said sorry we don’t have any. Instead they made me wait for half hour for nothing and made me feel bad because I quote “I was brought up a nice lunch earlier and should not ask for anymore while we are busy serving a group “
Very rude. They need to get customer service training. The customer should never feel like they disturb them. It was very badly handled. Food is Ok but not that great anyway. I think will be eating out for the next couple of days.

Hotel on the mountainside below the five finger mountain. Rather isolated. Super views, not suitable for people with mobility issues.
Staff friendly and helpful food waiting service excellent. Hotel rooms recently updated, but Villas in need of some refurbishment. Always clean, but some much needed repairs and replacement of some furnishings urgently needed. Views toward Kyrenia on a clear day are stunning. Transport three times a day into Girne. Bellapais a twenty minute steep walk but worth the effort. Overall a pleasant hotel, drinks are especially expensive.
