Our first time at this hotel and we were not disappointed. Brilliant Hotel in a great location amazing staff and service nothing was too much trouble for them. Ina from guest relations had registered our requests which were met fully upon arrival. Well done for that. Hany cleaned our rooms with a smile and was always very helpful. Habiba n Mohra were always there to welcome everyone with a smile Ahmed ,Abdul Rahman, Abdullah always looked after us at meal times. They didn’t seem to stand still for a minute! At the pool, we were very well looked after by Mustafa the lifeguard and Abdullah the waiter. Fantastic service from everybody! The à la cart Restaurant Fayruz was excellent with an extensive menu The evening entertainment was also good and varied. Staff at reception were always very helpful and supportive. We would thoroughly recommend this Hotel to people who want a quiet civilised comfortable holiday in a beautiful spacious resort. Well done to everybody at the hotel We will definitely return.

We stayed at Steigenberger Coraya Beach for a week, and it turned out to be exactly the kind of break we were looking for. As an adults-only resort, the atmosphere is naturally quieter and more relaxed, making it easy to disconnect from daily routines and settle into a slower pace. Everything throughout the stay felt well-organized and easy, from arrival to departure, without any stress or overplanning. It’s the kind of place where you quickly fall into a simple rhythm of beach, food, and rest, and before you know it, the days just blend together in the best way. Pros: The biggest highlight is the staff. Service is exceptional across the board, friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient without ever feeling intrusive. The resort itself is very well maintained, clean, and designed for comfort, with a great balance between activity and relaxation. Food variety is another strong point, especially at the buffet, with changing options and surprisingly good desserts. The dine-around concept adds extra choice, even if not all restaurants are equally strong. The beach setup is excellent, with easy access to the sea, comfortable sunbeds, and drinks served directly to you. Snorkeling in Coraya Bay is a major highlight, with clear water and vibrant marine life. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, and small details like consistent housekeeping and a fast response to requests really elevate the experience. Cons: The main drawback is the location. It’s quite remote, with little to explore nearby, so it’s not ideal if you want to see more of Egypt during your stay. Some à la carte restaurants felt inconsistent compared to the main buffet. There are also a few minor details, such as slightly noisy air-conditioning, slower hot water in the shower, and a small gym. Evening entertainment can overlap at times, making it hard to catch everything. This resort is perfect if your goal is to switch off and enjoy a stress-free beach holiday fully. The level of service, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere make it easy to relax from day one. While it may not be the best base for exploring Egypt, it absolutely delivers as a high-quality adults-only retreat, and we would happily return. This is an excellent adults-only resort for a relaxed beach holiday with top service, great amenities, and a stress-free atmosphere. We highly recommend you book a stay here! Worth the value for money.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days. It was perfect. The service was outstanding everywhere! They even cleaned our sunglasses on the beach.

We last went to Coraya Beach about 8 years ago and I think it’s got even better since! It’s an older hotel than its neighbours and oozes character, charm, Egyptian style and is immaculate. The gardens are very established and full of beautiful tropical trees, shrubs and flowers- a joy to walk around. We paid for a pool view room and 1807 (top floor) did not disappoint with its lovely views. The rooms have plenty of storage and the bathroom is large with a walk in shower. Kettle and large choice of tea bags and sachets of Nescafé coffee. Lovely big balcony that catches the evening sun. There are 3 immaculately clean pools, one with swim up bar, a very large pool and another just further down. The sun loungers by the pools are very sturdy with thick mattresses so very comfortable. Oh wow, the food! I don’t think I have ever seen such a huge choice of food at every mealtime. It’s all absolutely beautifully presented, with 2 different cooking stations too. There’s pretty much everything you can think of and it’s delicious. We ate outside most of the time on the wrap around balcony which has marvellous views. Thankfully the main restaurant and Fayruz are completely non-smoking inside and outside. Fayruz a la Carte restaurant is also open for lunch daily and again is wonderful. We also went to the beach bar for lunch occasionally but smoking is permitted there and the heavy straw roof prevents it dissipating so not good for non-smokers. If you are a snorkeler you won’t be disappointed. You can go in the water from the beach, or from the jetty the other side of the bay, or from Alaya hotel pier. (Another great thing about Coraya beach is that even when it’s very windy you can still snorkel as it’s in a large sheltered bay) And there are turtles! First time I have seen a turtle close up as it surfaced right near me for a few minutes- an amazing experience! We also saw 2 from the jetty opposite. All the hotels in the bay belong to Jaz Hotels so you can walk all the way around for some exercise. I think what really sets Coraya Beach apart are all the staff who are very friendly but professional and great little touches like free laundry service, better entertainment than most, ( we particularly loved the Freddie Show, Moulin Rouge show, singer Lachy, the Michael Jackson tribute and the pool/cocktails party on Sunday afternoons, the violinist and the chocolates/fizz/fruit in the gardens. Hotel guests were mainly German, English, Dutch, French, there are no direct flights from Russia to Marsa Alam. There are many repeat guests and there is a lovely atmosphere. No badly behaved/drunken/rowdy guests. We have been holidaying in various parts of the Red Sea over the last 10 years and I’ve got to say Steigenburger Coraya Beach Hotel is the best all round. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent staff can not do as much to help you, we had room 2807 even tho this was a sea view room it was approximately 100m from the shoreline, beautiful view to be fair overlooking the heated pools.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious with a lot of variety, and the atmosphere was perfect for relaxation and fun.

The shows, activities, and daily programs were well organized and so much fun. They really know how to make guests feel happy, involved, and welcomed.

We booked this hotel for a week over New Year based on the number of positive reviews on TA and so glad we did as couldn’t fault it. Lovely, quiet room (2005) looking out to the sea towards the Alaya pier. We didn’t get much sun on the terrace as it faced North East but that didn’t bother us. The room was large, very clean, plenty of hot water 24/7 and with more storage than we’ve ever known in a hotel. It does have a minibar but as others have said most of it is now chargeable but we didn’t worry as bottled water was provided and there are plenty of places to sit and have a drink around the hotel. Far more comfortable than sitting in your room. Some have commented that the rooms need updating but we loved the style. The staff were excellent from those doing the rooms, in the restaurants, reception, pool and the gardeners/maintenance. All of which helped to keep the hotel very clean (don’t ask me how many times the guys came and cleaned around the pool and loungers). Also most of the time you could get a lounger where you wanted one although there was some saving of beds with towels at times. As for the food? Again couldn’t be faulted. Every food you could image was on offer in the buffet at meal times and always topped up regularly. You can eat in the a la carte Fayruz restaurant although you do need to book for dinner. We had lunch there one day but preferred the more casual Al Maha main restaurant for breakfast & dinner and the Palmito Beach bar for lunch as it served freshly made sandwiches and had a freezer stocked with ice creams that you could help yourself to (no wonder I came back 3lb heavier). There are plenty of different bars that open at different times in the day but our favourite for an evening cocktail was Zuzu’s where we could sit and watch the evening entertainment from above plus views across the pools and bay. My main highlight of the whole holiday was the snorkelling. I snorkelled in the bay where you enter via a ramp on the main beach and is sheltered from the wind and waves. I saw more types of fish there than a number of the resorts we’ve been to in the Maldives. The only thing I didn’t see sadly was a turtle. You can snorkel off the Alaya bay pier but it sits out on the Red Sea so far too rough while we were there (red flag displayed). Snorkelling in the bay is perfect for less confident swimmers like me as they have a rope/buoys that sit along the edge of the reef allowing you to hold on should you need to stop or turn. There is also a life guard who sits in the middle of the bay during the day so I felt happy snorkelling on my own. Following advice from other posts I snorkelled from around 7am which was perfect time as the sea was at it’s most calm and there were less other people in the water. I tried later in the morning and also early afternoon and the water was a lot less clear. For those who don't snorkel you can see a number of fish in the shallows including rays and lionfish. Any negatives? No the
