Villa Wesset in Parnu

The breakfast was genuinely good and offered a wide variety, which was probably the highlight of the stay.

Unfortunately, the service was memorable for all the wrong reasons. I arrived in the evening with a large suitcase, which was clearly visible, yet no one even pretended to consider offering help — despite the fact that my room was apparently located on the last floor, in the furthest possible corner of the building.

To make things more interesting, the room was split over two levels, with the bed upstairs accessible by a very steep staircase.

A charming concept in theory, although it seems the housekeeping staff may have decided that the upper floor was simply too ambitious a destination. Judging by the amount of dust there, it had clearly not been cleaned properly in quite some time.

I politely brought this to the receptionist’s attention and even showed photos of the dirt. The response was: “I will pass the information on. Have a nice day.”
When I asked, “That’s all?”
The answer was: “Yes. Have a nice day.”

So, no apology, no concern. Great place to stay if you enjoy independence, cardio, and managing disappointment on your own.

Buyer beware! Yes, I knew I was getting a room that may often be difficult to book. Sure enough. I got a pretty small room with a window a few feet away from two of the cars in the parking area. So I had to keep my curtain closed.
