V Spa & Conference Hotel in Tartu

Staff super friendly and helpful. Rooms and other areas clean. But... Pools were a bit colder than would have liked + overcrowded. Rooms have bery poor noise cancellation. I guess this depends on the location of the room and neighbourghs, but still would have been nice to NOT hear everything that was going on in the next room and the hallway.

We stayed at the hotel in early September. The hotel itself is amazing: beautiful, clean rooms with a stylish design. The lobby is gorgeous, and overall, the design of the whole place is impressive. As for the food – we ordered room service from the Joyce restaurant. The food was delivered fairly quickly and it was delicious. But that’s a separate review on its own. Breakfast at this hotel was also excellent. Smoked salmon and champagne – that’s already a strong indicator for me, not to mention all the other options. Tasty pancakes, plenty of both sweet and savory choices. Now, regarding the spa – we won’t be coming back for it. Yes, the hotel itself is great, but we came not just to stay overnight in a beautiful place, but specifically to relax in the spa. And the spa was very tired-looking. Lots of mold, at times it was simply unpleasant – I’ve never experienced that before. There was an outdoor area with loungers and one jacuzzi, which wasn’t working. But what really shocked me was that the spa had a separate complex called “Soolamaailm,” for which you had to buy an additional pass. Honestly, that’s laughable, because in other hotels I’ve seen salt rooms, salt saunas, and even saunas where you can scrub yourself with salt – all included in the price. We were waiting for a ritual and wanted to check which sauna it was held in – and it turned out to be in the sauna inside this salt complex (if you can even call it that). So only those who bought an extra pass could attend. That’s absurd, especially considering the hotel itself is far from cheap compared to other spa hotels. In many places, you can use salt, mud, or even honey treatments – all included in the price. Here, none of that was available, and we refused on principle to pay extra for this “Soolamaailm,” because it’s such a basic thing elsewhere. In the end – mixed feelings. I would recommend the hotel for its rooms, overall atmosphere, design, and food. But spa hotels are usually chosen for relaxation in the spa (which I definitely do not recommend here). And the spa here is just disappointing. Three stars only for the hotel itself.
