Ok, the actual accommodation isn't 5-star, but it's perfectly acceptable for a family holiday, with friendly staff, good buffet food and great surroundings. Safaris by husky or reindeer sleigh extra.

The position of the Hotel is a bit remote but well worth the few miles extra as it is enchanting. The Grandkids love the free toboganing and the visit to Santa, reindeer rides and husky sledding all again free and within the Hotel complex. The food is also good.

Fantastic lodge style hotel. Postcard perfect setting. Was like a snow globe in december. Snowmobiles. Huskies. Reindeer. Elves.. it has it all! Food great rooms comfy and open fires brilliant. Staff all helpful. Went with TUI and entertainment for children and adults excellent.

We stayed here as part of a Tui holiday to Lapland last week. We stayed in one of the cabins - very comfortable. The food was lovely and various options each night. Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The Tui reps were fantastic and well organised. We have had an amazing time and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lapland.

I wish I was giving this a 5 star review, but it just did not hit the mark for me. You have to drag luggage around in snow to your room which makes sense, but for the price I think I imagined a service for this. The igloo was really warm, I asked reception 3 times to adjust the temperature, but it never changed. The room was not 100% clean, there was a false nail from a previous guest on the ledge...

This review is going to be about the food at their restaurant. We tried the reindeer meat and the salmon. They smoke the salmon on a fire pit in the middle of the restaurant as seen in a picture. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The igloos were clean and cute with adjustable beds to make you comfortable and give you a good view. The food at the restraunt was AMAZING. I would definitely come again. It's an easy 20 drive mins from town.

A very special experience - sleeping in a room with a glass roof even when it's cloudy. It is clear that every piece of equipment in the room was put there after a lot of thought. For example, the beds are adjustable and there are blankets for cuddling.

What an amazing experience. Delightful staff - very attentive, nothing too much trouble. Staying in the Snow Hotel rooms is an experience of a lifetime. Even my loving wife managed to sleep, wrapped up warm in the sleeping bags provided, only suffering a chilly nose. A walk out onto the frozen lake reveals such a beautiful area and even though we didn't get to see the aurora borealis the evening light...

For the price we paid in March, it’s not exactly a premium accommodation. Mainly there to have an igloo experience, though the space in the igloo is limited. No luck with the Aurora in the night we stayed. Breakfast is impressive! And free visit to the snow hotel:)

The environment and facilities are very good and the room is clean. Dinner buffet and breakfast are rich. The room has a northern lights alarm clock. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights. The only drawback is that the shuttle bus fare is expensive. The train station costs $30/person one way, and $20/person to the city centre.

We stayed in snowhotel for 1 night. Sleeping bags were not comfortable, we could hardly get any sleep. Breakfast was nice, with good vegetarian options as well. All the amenities were good, snow sauna, bonfire in kota restaurant, snow slide and sky bar.

We stayed here last February, the place is great,modern design, and equipped well. The location is good for northern lights. We saw northern lights couple of times from the lake and the living room. The best thing in this villa is the outdoor jacuzzi which was always warm and ready during our stay.

Highly recommended, super cozy, super beautiful place to stay! EVERYTHING you might imagine is provided at this accommodation (from a dish washer, flat iron, toaster, micro oven, 2 bathrooms, sauna incl. a separate shower, jacuzzi, laundry dryer etc. etc.) Well surrounded by forests and lakes. Beds are very comfortable, the host is super friendly and helpful. Accommodation is very clean.

Superb. A very beautiful place in a wonderful setting and a great host. It has everything you could want plus more. A lovely view overlooking the lake with it's own private beach. I especially enjoyed sitting in the spa at midnight with the snow falling. The sauna was very nice too. Also wonderful to look it the window and watching the reindeer grazing right out the back. I'll definitely be back there...

We had a fantastic stay at Virpi Villa! Even though we arrived late, the hosts were incredibly accommodating and provided us with the key at midnight. The villa was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. Great location and peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend!

Its a great place to spend your vacation in Roavniemi. It’s also near the city center so you can also visit there by walk. The host was really nice and welcoming. Despite arriving late due to some circumstances and we still got the key and had a smooth check-in.

Overall a good stay, clean and quiet. would recommend some darkcurtains for the apartments as its quite bright outside during spring/summer. Breakfast could use an upgrade, but still good as it was.

They kept cleanliness. There aren’t any amenity. You don’t take bath towel. There are some kinds of tea and pot. We often use supermarket and we borrowed spoons . We could leave our own luggage in the luggage room both before check in and after that. But that room is easy to come in, so you must use your own key to protect your luggage. However this service is so helpful!

It's a little far from the hotel where you check in, but considering the cheap price it wasn't too much of an issue, and once you're checked in it's pretty close to the center.

The location is also close to the city centre, but you have to check in at Santa hotel Claus and then walk another 10 minutes to the hotel, which is a bit inconvenient. The hotel staff is very nice, they understand Cantonese, are attentive, and patiently explained nearby places and transportation. Finally, they also helped arrange a taxi to Rovaniemi railway station.

It's a bit of a walk from the check-in point, but it's a good hotel. Hotels around Rovaniemi are quite expensive, so I chose this hotel, but for those who don't mind walking a bit, I think the location is not too bad.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. They tried their best to communicate with me by Google translate. The location might be challenging for you to carry a luggage to Rovaniemi station in the winter. Luckily, the supermarket market is quite near. The hotel was in a very good location. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Unfortunately, the water was always lukewarm to cold. Even the lukewarm water wasn’t enough to rinse off properly.

The property is walking distance from city centre. Airport is only 10 mins in a taxi. I am grateful for other residents, staff and the owner who opened my room when I'm locked out. Met wonderful people. I had a great time. I would definitely recommend this property.

The guest house is located at a walk-able distance from Rovaniemi main bus station and the city centre. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. There's a common kitchen for use by the residents. The Arktikum museum and garden also close by so you can easily walk searching for aurora in winter. Above all, the owner and his team was quite helpful.

I stayed with my family in one of the apartments and it was very clean and organized, we were very comfortable. The location is also very good as it is only a few minutes from the center. On the other hand, the store is very cozy and has very good quality handmade products.

We stopped here for a night on our eay home from a ski holiday. Our family room for 5 was perfect...the kitchen/dining was useful as we got a local takeaway for dinner and thanks for leaving us coffee etc...great set up and great location close to the snow glow park for kids, shopping centre with glow mini golf and the bus transfer to lapland winter park and the airport. Our family of two adults and two teenagers visited northern Finland during the second week of November 2024. We stayed in cabin Lauri IV, and it was a cozy, cute little cabin. The cabin was clean and we had plenty of space. We only wished the fireplace worked!

I had a fantastic stay at the Arctic City Hotel, a charming boutique property. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety to start the day. The on-site restaurant served amazing food, and the downstairs bar was outstanding, with a vibrant atmosphere and top-notch drinks. It was a small, clean hostel in Rovaniemi. The owner, a woman, was very kind and could use LINE to give directions and introduce her friends who are aurora hunters, which was very helpful. I went to a park in the middle of the night to take pictures of the aurora, and I think I was able to take some good pictures of the Northern Lights with my iPhone. The hostel is small but very cozy and clean. I arrived before the check in time because I needed to leave my baggage and I didn't know about the self check in. I wrote to them through booking and they called me right away! :) The Kitchen is well stocked and clean. Big bathroom and shower! They try to save water as much as possible, very appreciated :)

This is not about the hostel but had a neighbour who had a really bad smell, just a stinky neighbour. He could not use key box for some reason even though it was very simple (LOL).
