LAURI Historical 19th Century Manor in Rovaniemi

Only been to the gift shop. Small cute shop with a lot of their oun hand made crafts. Good place to get a keepsake or non-traditional souvenirs. They do have rooms to rent, but never started in one

Very well-equipped and unique stay above a handicrafts shop, at a very affordable price for a group!

Very, very confortable rooms made with logs!! Excepcional shower with separate toilet for going faster if it is a family. Many details and some welcome gifts. Bus stop and city centro at 10 min walking and railway station at 15 min walking. We really loved!

Our stay at Lauri Apartments an the Lauri Handcraft Shop were some of the most memorable parts of our trip to Rovaniemi!

The apartment was cozy, spotlessly clean, and full of charm, with beautiful traditional Finnish decor and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the location was perfect — close to the city center, yet quiet and surrounded by nature. It felt like a true home away from home.

What made the experience even more special was the Lauri Handcraft Shop, located right on the same historic property. The shop is filled with locally made treasures — wooden crafts, reindeer horn items, and unique gifts that reflect the soul of Lapland. Every piece feels personal and handcrafted with care.

The staff and hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with tips about the area or stories behind the products. You can truly feel the passion and love they put into both the accommodations and the handmade crafts.

If you’re visiting Rovaniemi, staying at Lauri Apartments and visiting the shop is a must. It’s more than just a place to sleep or shop — it’s a cultural experience that connects you to the heart of Lapland.

Lauri is a true hidden gem in Rovaniemi.

I and my friends stayed in the beautiful historical loghouse which was perfect for our group of 4, (cozy spacious and full of character). It made our trip feel really special! Also, the location is ideal as it is just a short walk to the city centre and the museum.

The accommodation has also a small souvenir shop on the ground floor. A lovely place full of authentic handmade items crafted from natural materials. You can even see the artisan working through a window into the workshop which makes the experience even more unique.

Both the stay and the shop were highlights of our trip in Rovaniemi and we highly recommend visiting if you want something truly local and memorable!

I stayed with my family in one of the apartments and it was very clean and organized, we were very comfortable. The location is also very good as it is only a few minutes from the center. On the other hand, the store is very cozy and has very good quality handmade products.

We stopped here for a night on our eay home from a ski holiday. Our family room for 5 was perfect...the kitchen/dining was useful as we got a local takeaway for dinner and thanks for leaving us coffee etc...great set up and great location close to the snow glow park for kids, shopping centre with glow mini golf and the bus transfer to lapland winter park and the airport. Thank you.

Lauri exceeded all my expectations! The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. The location was good for exploring while still offering a quiet place to unwind. Loved every minute of my stay. Besides the stay they also have a charming shop that offers beautifully handcrafted items, from cozy beanies to unique home decor. The quality is top-notch, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you're shopping for a gift or something special for yourself, Lauri is definitely worth a visit!

Highly recommend this place to stay very clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and location is great. Our daughter’s birthday on arrival and they got her a cake a decorated the room. Would return again.

Our family of two adults and two teenagers visited northern Finland during the second week of November 2024. We stayed in cabin Lauri IV, and it was a cozy, cute little cabin. The cabin was clean and we had plenty of space. We only wished the fireplace worked!
