Ski-Inn RukaVillage in Ruka

We had a 2 bedroom family apartment booked through tour operator Crystal Ski. The apartment was nice - a bunk bed room and double bedroom, small shower/wet room with sauna, and living/kitchen space. The sofa also converts to a sofa bed - but word of warning if the apartment was occupied by 6people it would feel very, very compact (a family of 3 or 4 is plenty). It was very clean and all essentials provided (towels, toilet paper, kitchen roll, dish clothes and tea towels, soap etc.), in this regard, the accommodation is good.
Location is great too - literally across the road from the gondola to the ski area. Restaurants and bars within a few steps and a small shop around the corner (although, the town area is small enough that any venue would be within walking distance of amenities).

HOWEVER, the location has a downside too. We had the displeasure of being given a room which was opposite “Zone”, a Karaoke bar which doesn’t close until 4am. Our first two nights were disturbed by groups of people leaving that venue with portable speakers blaring.
The first night we gave benefit of the doubt it would be a one off. After a repeat on the second night we enquired with reception about relocating to a quieter room, initially we were told the hotel was full, then eventually were told they had one room left (the 2nd floor, facing the same venue). This was despite the hotels own website showing no fewer than 14 rooms available for the remainder of our stay.
When raised via our tour operator the “no space in the inn” false narrative changed to “you can move to another room for €150”.

I appreciate the external noise is a little outside of the control of the hotel but it ruined our stay and the hotel could have resolved it by acting responsibly. They know this is an issue and had plenty of alternative rooms available, but instead of mitigating the issue and improving our stay, the hotel chose to try and mislead us into handing them more money for a good nights sleep. That isn’t acceptable.

It’s a real shame because on the face of it, we would have returned. But the lack of care shown for their guests has put us off.
For what it’s worth, it seems booking through aforementioned tour operator (Crystal Ski) disadvantaged us more than helped, reading between the lines it wouldn’t be an unrealistic assumption that Crystal have negotiated so hard on room rates that Ski-Inn don’t really care for their guests… they are just there to make up the numbers.

Looked nice but not the beds promised
It said that it had beds for 8 and we put we have 7. It showed 8 regular twin beds when we booked, but got there and there was only 6 twin and a very uncomfortable sofa bed that definitely could not sleep 2 I asked about it but they said the room technically sleeps 8 and wouldn’t move us. Overall clean and spacious. Both the showers are in one bathroom with sauna and washing. Machine and toilet all in one space, so the setup is not ideal for multiple people needing to shower quickly. The other 2 bathrooms were just half baths. No one is available on location during the evening, so when we needed help turning the sauna on, no one could help us. Dishwasher didn’t clean.i asked for coffee filters and was told we have to buy our own which seems weird from all the places we’ve stayed.
