Hotel Balanea in Calvi

Nice hotel right on the harbor, plenty of hotspots and dining options around. The rooms are nice, modern furnished and plenty big. In addition, in the larger room categories it is possible to have breakfast on your own balcony. Especially great with a beautiful sea view. The price is fair and there are only a few small things that might bother some. With the location also comes a certain noise, which carries into the night. Furthermore, a shower curtain or a glass partition would be desirable. The hotel's outer facade could also use some renovation. All in all a nice hotel in a great location which we would visit again!

Beautiful hotel located in front of the wonderful port. Incredible views, very cheap, and a great staff. I will definitely be returning.

It was right in the heart of the city in the old town with all the shops, and the location couldn't have been more perfect for our family trip. We were able to explore all the nearby attractions easily, which made things so convenient for us with the kids.

You need to park the car about 150m at the train station parking though which us about 15 eur for 24h parking in fees. From their you walk to the hotel as it cannot be reached by car.

I must say, though, if you decide to stay there, definitely go for the rooms with a sea view. The other rooms didn't have any view at all, just a boring wall. We just stayed one night.

The rooms were lovely and modern and had a little fridge. There was a TV too, and the bathroom was ok. I loved the open closet, too, it made organizing our things much easier. The room came with a sofa-type bed in the standard room – however we had to book a second room for our kids 6 and 8. Hence we could not use it.

Another good thing is the elevator.

There is also a terrace! It had the most amazing view of the port and the beach. If you want breakfast it’s 17 eur pp.

Beautiful hotel, great position, free parking and though that parking is a couple of football fields away - the fact that they have it at all is unique (parking in Corsica is either a nightmare, very expensive or non existent).

Stayed in 5th floor private suite. Best view in mariner. Kind helpful staff. Best room I've had in any hotel in the world.
