Location is 5 stars. Smallish but comfortable room, friendly staff. The only minus was the house keeping that was not cleaning the table and floor. When we comeback the crumbs on the table and floors still at the same exact spot.

Not recommended.
Upon arrival, we witnessed the receptionist arguing with a guest whose two-room reservation had been incorrectly booked as one room by the hotel. Instead of apologizing, the receptionist was hostile and dismissive.
The next day, we see the owner who was also rude and unprofessional, as though she was doing us a favor by letting us stay in a hotel we had paid for.
The hotel itself is outdated, with no elevator, very narrow and steep stairs, a malfunctioning AC, and a TV that often didn't work properly. Historic charm is one thing, but basic maintenance and customer service should still be expected.

For me, the three things that matter most in a hotel are location, the “hardware,” and service — and this property checks all the boxes. The hotel is set in what appears to be a heritage building, full of charm and character, and it’s genuinely very pretty. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Dijon, with everything walkable from the front door.
The staff were amazing, consistently warm and eager to provide good service. A small issue with our TV remote battery was handled with genuine care and apologies, which really stood out.
Because this is a heritage building, there are some quirks: no elevators, creaky floors, and you may hear noise from neighboring rooms. These details didn’t bother me at all; they felt like part of the charm, but worth noting for travelers who expect modern soundproofing or accessibility.
Bonus: just around the corner is L’Bout de la Rue, a French restaurant that only serves mussels with frites. It was one of our best meals in Dijon — simple, delicious, and unforgettable.

The service we received in this hotel is far beyond usual. We strongly recommend it, amongst the sensitive customer care, it is a place that has kept its essence, far from being luxurious its uniqueness and comfortability makes it a special place.
