Campanile Montpellier Ouest in Montpellier

The room was for sleeping ok. Had booked double room. Towels only for one person in the room. We also booked the because it had a restaurant. It was closed
If you don’t speak French you’re kind of lost and in the reception mostly there was nobody.
Asked for help with the safe in the room They promised to come in a few minutes. Nobody ever came. Breakfast was poor and some of the plates and cutlery had food rests on them. The rest of the room which was not used for breakfast had chairs on the table and the whole room looked unfriendly.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. This hotel does live up to the promised four star standard.

Beds are too hard.
Each time the neighbors enter or exit their room, the whole room shakes… literally !
The whole hotel smells bad… like old socks.
Only positive is the O juice in the morning is good.

The inside loung area of the hotel seemed to modern.

Disliked · From the beginning when I entered the hotel after a very long train ride, the receptionist asked me to immedietly pay a room insurane of 150 euros. This seemed very rude and inappropriate as I have already payed the full fare of the room! I spoke to the man and said you can keep my passport or something else, and he wouldnt accept. Making me feel like I was going to be kicked out! Its a horrible way to treat people! The hotel is very far from the city centre there is only 1 bus and in the summer sun its difficult to get to the hotel. At night iI had to go through a dangerous area and get a expensive taxi 40 euros to get to the hotel. The room itelsf is very basic no curtains on the windows, outisde there was a lot of noise and the bed covers are very simple, the cushions very uncomfortable. Plus there was nothing charming about the room, there wasnt even a place to put my clothes such as a small wardrobe! So only stay there for one night and then left! Extremely rude and unpolite staff also! Dont go there!
