A magnificent hotel in the center of Nîmes. A haven of peace in the midst of a dynamic and vibrant city. The staff was wonderful. We booked a family suite: a dream! Two very large bedrooms with impeccable linens and a magnificent bathroom with a bathtub in the center. A very pleasant courtyard for a drink and relaxation. We also ate at the Rouge restaurant. The opening menu was also excellent. The flavors were exquisite. At the end of the evening, the chef came to our table to make sure everything went well. I highly recommend this hotel! Note: the Indigo paid car park is a 5-minute walk away.

A wonderful hotel! The listed building and the magnificent decor perfectly complement each other. The two courtyards are perfect for enjoying the bar and breakfast. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always smiling. The pool is a bit small to be used, but the hotel should impose some restrictions. A fifth star would have been well-deserved.

A magnificent hotel with immense charm. The rooms are large and very clean! Close to the center, yet very quiet. The perfect place for a romantic getaway. The breakfast is excellent, prepared with local ingredients. The staff is attentive.

This is very nice up market hotel, located right in the city center where everything is just a short walk away. I stayed in room 5 on the top floor, which was very large and comfortable - see photos. The walk in closet alone was huge! There is no lift, but they help you carry your bags up so it is not a hardship. The room was clean and very comfortable. There was very slight noise from the street outside in the evening, but not enough to disturb me - and I am very sensitive to noise! The service from everyone I met was first class, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. This should be a 5 star review, but I had to lose one star due to the terrible WiFi. The signal strength was good - but they restrict the speed for guests so much that it was useless for anything except simple browsing. My VPN would not connect from my phone or laptop, and I was blocked from running a speed test. When I complained, the receptionist connected my laptop to the office network instead which worked great. But I should not have had to do this, especially in such an upmarket hotel.

Disappointing Service – Not up to 5-Star Standards
While this property carries a 5-star rating, the service unfortunately does not. The staff lacked the warmth and professional courtesy expected at this level. Even a simple €4 espresso was served without the standard accompaniments (like a small sweet), which felt like an oversight. The team appears significantly understaffed, and it shows in the lack of attention to detail. Management needs to invest in training and staffing to meet the standards guests are paying for.

Hôtel Margaret is truly one of the most luxurious hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The moment you step inside, you can feel the soul and character of the place. It has a timeless charm that makes you feel as if you’ve slipped into another era, in the best possible way.
We stayed in the family suite, which was incredibly spacious and beautifully designed. Every detail felt thoughtful and elegant. The highlight, without question, was the stunning bathroom paired with the connecting balcony which was an unforgettable combination that made the suite feel even more special.
I would gladly return to Nîmes just to stay at Hôtel Margaret again and relive this wonderful experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for true luxury with character.

The Family Suite was lovely and big with a charming terrace . Has 2 separate rooms - good for a family of four . Very good location with lots of good restaurants within a few minutes walk . The local attractions are also within walking distance . Breakfast was very refined and delicious .

This is hands down the best hotel stay I have ever had in my life. Everything from the exceptional service to the amazing spacious rooms made our stay an unforgettable one. I would travel back to France just for an opportunity to spend a few nights in this beautiful hotel.
