We purposely returned to this hotel in Nimes due to our previous stay. The staff are all pleasant, and decided to extend our stay for another night.

My husband and I stayed here in July. We had a wonderful time. We love the spa facilities. The food was very good in the hotel restaurant. All the staff were very kind and helpful. We would like to mention the lovely receptionist Jenna who was very welcoming and helpful. Thank you, from the irish couple.

Free drinks while waiting for rooms to be available
Cleanliness and impeccable service.
The small problem: upon checkout, I was told:
1) payment for the drinks offered upon arrival 🧐
After an explanation, I didn't pay anything
2) payment for two breakfasts (€44) that I supposedly ordered??????? Even though I was staying with friends to have breakfast there.
This means that anyone can use the catering services on someone else's behalf.
I want to point out that I ended my pleasant stay on a sour note.

The service in this hotel is a bit peculiar because it is almost exclusively taken care of by students of the local hotel school. While everybody has to learn and I fully understand it, the client is nevertheless supposed not to be too much aware of it. The young lady in the reception was all alone in the evening and had to deal with a sizeable waiting line, the phone, the garage barrier and unfit reservation processes. This is a no go! The food in the restaurant tastes good but is apparently warmed up in the microwave. My magret de canard had a cold crust. I had a heavy stomach all night. I also was pretty underwhelmed with the waitress who spilt my wine whilst pouring it in my glass. In my 40 years hotel experience, this was a first. The location of the hotel is good close to the motorway and a busline in front of the hotel that connects in 20 minutes with the centre of the city. Rooms are spacious with a nice balcony.

I recently stayed at Hotel Vatel in Nîmes, and it was a delightful experience. Whether you're traveling for pleasure or business, this hotel is an excellent choice. The spa, pool, and fitness areas are lovely, offering a perfect place to relax after a busy day. The hospitality at the hotel is superb, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A special mention goes to Silvia at the reception, whose kindness and courtesy made me feel truly welcome from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend Hotel Vatel and will definitely return very soon.

Agreeable staff ,many spoke English. Very relaxing stay before my hospital stay. Good location for hospital visits or a quiet place to stay when visiting Nîmes. The only negative was our shower grout was dirty. We also ate there and the food was very good.

With breakfast, there was nobody to bake the eggs.
In the toilet the cover from the air extraction on the ceiling was very dusty (not clean), also a lot of stains present on the carpet and seat against the bed. (suite Diana)

Comfortable Stay
Nice hotel, convenient location, restaurant with very good food. The room was quiet and comfortable. There is a sauna and spa that I didn’t use. The only negative I experienced was that the hotel’s WiFi didn’t allow me to use my VPN. I would certainly stay again.
