Room was small and tired, missing many basic features. Average cleanliness. Had numerous issues with both cold and hot water. Restaurant is expensive.

This is our 2nd visjt for a stopover, its in a perfect location in the square with a vibrant feel. Staff very polite and attentive. The room was as described, very clean too and a very comfortable bed.

Exceptional at the price. The staff were helpful and kind. The restaurant is very good - don't be put off by the burger-bar style menu cards, the food that comes out of the kitchen is excellent. I went for the Pave au Saumon with a delicious Chablis that tasted of raspberries(!) as opposed to the burnt firework flavour I've had from other Chablis in my time. Oh, yes, and a very decent breakfast as well.

Restaurant was amazing - food was sensational, flavours were bursting, very generous portions and well presented. The Staff were very friendly, helpful and appreciated that we tried with limited French and they helped with their English! Made to feel very welcome and it was very reasonably priced for the quality, atmosphere and location. Highly recommend.

Nice Place To Stay
This is a nice hotel in the centre of Bethune. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. The bar and restaurant are excellent. Parking is available nearby and is not too expensive for a central location. All in all a nice place to stay

Hotel: good value for the money, very central on a lively, car-free, charming square. If you don't like late-night noise, book a room on the back (hotel offered this).
Note: nearby underground parking is €20 per day.
Bathroom could use some maintenance and an instruction manual for the shower system.

Staff are enthusiastic and fun to be around. Food is served with attention to detail, and you could not be more central.

Sat down for late lunch at 3 pm with a nice view of the Grand Place on a sunny day. One waiter got me a food menu and cutlery. 5 minutes later another waiter suddenly tells me I need to eat inside. Aparently too late to eat outside? Could see several people still eating outside, so maybe it's just the tourists they want to hide away. Food was okay. Not coming back for the service, though.
