It is quite even if it is located close to the highway. The pool is brilliant and our room was freshly renovated. Others are in the way to be.

Very good quality Ibis in great location, lovely room, great shower and very comfortable bed with spacious off street parking. Decent breakfast and efficient helpful staff. A short walk from the centre with restaurants and bars nearby. Very nice place to stay all things considered.

Good Hotel, Quiet Location I stay here a few times a year. Rooms are a good size. Not luxurious but has the essentials and are clean and tidy. Town centre is 10 minute walk. Nice selection at breakfast.

The hotel is not in city center but near the motorway, easy parking, very few the good restaurant near to hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. They have chairs. The breakfast was enough and fine.

shower head was not good. It was always fall down. there was no slippers in the room. Visiters should take their slippers! why don't you get those? only 1-2$ on amazon. you have to pay extra money for the park area if you have own car. room was clean. hotel was silent. location of hotel is good.

It is a very charming old style hotel located just on the opposite of the railways station. I really liked that vibe of the hotel and it has a nice restaurant with good and tasty cuisine in reasonable prices. There are a lot of public parking outside the hotel which is free at night. The rooms were clean and spacious and I really liked the style. I would definitely come back if going to Valenciennes

Very well-located hotel near the city center and Valenciennes train station. The spacious room. The only downside is that the mattress isn't at all comfortable; you can feel the iron when you sleep on it. Because of this, we had to change rooms after one night because the iron we felt on the mattress prevented us from sleeping properly.

You don’t want to stay here unless you have to. Very friendly service during Dour Festival: the cleaning ladies served us breakfast after the official hours. It’s in the middle of nowhere.

A few drawbacks regarding cleanliness and the mattress where you can really feel the springs, otherwise overall not bad.

Beautiful renovation in the heart of Valenciennes. High quality hotel in every aspect. The standard rooms are very modest in size but are okay. Breakfast was good although the small food area got very busy at peak time. The downstairs spa and pool is also stunning.

It was a great stay and the property is obviously beautiful. My only issue is I wish they had informed us that we would be getting an accessible room before assigning it to us. It’s not a major issue, but it’s just better etiquette to be informed in advance. We did not want to be a hassle so did not bother making a big deal out of it.

The hotel rooms are nice - the spa is nice too. The pool area is beautiful architecture wise … However the water is a bit cold. We had a massage (duo) and it was very relaxing. The sauna is ok too. The steam sauna needed more steam. In general the experience is good - the place is amazing in beauty. What needs to be improved is the food! We have been here four times and the lounge food could be better...

Second time in this castle. A beautiful hotel. When booking, all wishes were taken into account. We added room decoration, as discussed. The two-level suites are very impressive in their beauty. We stayed here for a night during transit to Paris. Rooms are cute: small, but cozy. Breakfast was bad, to be honest. No eggs, no vegetables, no meat. Personal was rude and not friendly for our group when not allowing us to sit on tables with sofas ("It's only for VIPs!!") and not allowing us to take away any food (bread slices, f.e.).

I came here with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. Overall, my stay exceeded expectations. I definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is 10 m away from Valenciennes station. The staff are helpful and friendly, the facilities are great, and the breakfast is simple but good (I love their pain au chocolate).

I arrived at 11 PM. The self-check-in process was simple and convenient; I just entered my name to find my booking. The room was clean, and although it wasn't large, the shower and toilet were separate, which was excellent for the price.

Struggled to find anywhere in the vicinity. I have used a Brit Hotel before which appeared to be an old Confort Hotel. This is directly opposite the Notre Dame church. Easy walking to the city centre. It’s 2* so it’s not a Mercury or Novotel but it was clean and convenient. Price was good.

The highlights of this hotel are the service and central location. The garden is delightful in summer, ita right across form the beautiful cathedral, and the extensive range of the services are 24hours. Great breakfast with cheese, rolls, yogurt, pastries, coffee and juice. I guess the 2 star rating comes from the rather tired decor and basic rooms. Only criticism is the 'Brit' soap in the bathroom...

A great place to stay, quirky art decorations by the artist owner, you cant walk through any room without stopping and exploring. Very well priced. We were made to feel really welcome. Will definately go back! Plenty of parking and lovely gardens to explore too.

The whole place invites you to relax. The decor is quite unique. Breakfast perfect. It's impossible not to recommend.

Loved our stay. Sure, the floors are a bit crooked and noise travels quite a lot through the rooms. but hey, what can you expect from a genuine 500 year old place? The entire place breathes history and the room we had was actually quite spacious. Staff was also nice. Just come here with the right mindset. If you care for yet another sterile environment, this place might not be for you.

This is a beautiful building in a great location for visiting Valenciennes centre. The staff are lovely and the parking arrangements are quirky. Our room was clean and comfortable but a little tired and the restaurant wasn’t as good as the prices would suggest.

Fabulous old Hotel & Restaurant Really nice hotel with loads of charm and character. No actual parking, but there's a multi storey car park opposite and cheaper than most. As the hotel is old there are no elevators and the steps could be quite challenging if you have issues. Having said that, if you can mange the stairs the rooms were really nice. This is a delightful old inn with an excellent restaurant. Parking in the spaces outside the hotel was free on Sunday until 9am Monday. Downside was we were told their Wi-Fi did not work on iPhones and the shower attachment did not work properly in room 1
