Very simply hotel close to the gare.nice welcommimg at my very late arrival

The room dirty, dilapidated, insecure. Ambient humidity. It's not maintained.
I was put in a second, larger, newer room. Heating does not work. It is also not maintained. There is mold on the windows. White traces of humidity on the windows. No mattress pad under the sheet. The pillows are pillowcased cousins, they are hard and uncomfortable.
The faucet in the shower room does not work. The floor mat is old and looks dirty. The shower corners are dirty, the curtain too. The toilet bowl is broken and slips if you sit on it. You have to leave the bathroom door open to sit down or you'll hit your head in the door. The paint on the doors is chipped.
The aggressiveness and threats of the receptionist who must also be the boss: I insist on asking for a clean room with heating: 5 degrees outside... I'm going on there would be for 2 hours to tell everything .

The staff was pleasant but I strongly advise against this establishment.
This hotel is in serious need of a clean up and I'm not a picky person.
The stinky room, floor not cleaned, no heating, the sheets filled with humidity to the touch as well as to the smell (I slept fully dressed after bombarding with deodorant everywhere) it's disgusting and the walls are not all soundproofed as specified at reception.
Not being a follower of scandals, and visiting Valenciennes on a professional basis, I preferred to spend my night and flee the next day :(

Friendly convenient to railway. Barely any breakfast good for the waistline. Clean but old rooms.
