A truly excellent restaurant that differs from most other restaurants in the resort. Excellent selection and excellent dishes at good prices. Great service/staff! First choice in Kuhlungsborn! Nice premises with a lovely view of the beach/ocean.

We didn't stay there but we have experienced the best services ever in their bar. We all fell in love with our drinks made by a vietnamese bartender. She really made our day, thank you.

This hotel is centrally located in the charming town of Kuhlungsborn right on the Baltic Sea coast. The people working there were extremely attentive and a pleasure to interact with. The room was impeccable and the food there was excellent. I cannot find anything that they need to work on or improve.

The interior is really beautiful (lobby and also the room I had). Staff was very kind - except at the reception: they seemed annoyed some times. The team at breakfast got hectic at peak times and the soya latte I have been served (for 4,80€(!)) was just terrible. (I believe they made it too hot because it had some weird “soya flakes” in it? Stopped here on a day trip for a cup of coffee and a very tasty an good local version of an apple strudel. Both went down a treat, I recommend this cafe if you are visiting the town or the beach.

We had a fabulous two night stay at the hotel. The reception was a great start. We were treated to complimentary sparkling wine while completing the form in the lounge room. The hotel is just across a few trees from the (dog-friendly) beach and the beautiful beach promenade. Parking is behind the hotel. The double room with a sea view and balcony was well-equipped. The service was very friendly; be sure to reserve a table for dinner.

We have been to Kühlungsborn many times with our friends but this was the first time to Polar Stern. First of all, it was by far the best hotel. We were warmly welcomed.
