Hotel & Apartments Fürstenhof am Bauhaus in Weimar

Weimar is one of the cultural highlights, Bauhaus, Goethe, Schiller ... The Furstenhof is near to the city center, a bus stop is very near to the hotel, either if you want to go to the main station or the main square in the city. The room was very spacey, a huge flat screen, a good wardrobe and several cushions are given. The bathroom was not to huge, the shower need a step to walk in. A fridge with chilled drinks is on the same floor outside the room, what improves the silence in the room. The room has lots of places for things, a desk and some chairs. The breakfast in a very cozy and silent room is well assorted, with freh fruit sald, tasty buns (wow), cheese, ham, marmalade, cereals, boiled eggs, joghurt. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. Next time again...

This is a small hotel and the front desk has limited hours, but getting there late is not a problem. A quick call will give you the code that allows you to get your key from a secure slot. (If your German is not up to snuff, note that the code starts with a *, followed by four numerals, and then #.)

Great place to stay to explore Weimar culture
The hotel is very lovely, with comfortable beds and a great breakfast. The hotel personnel is very friendly and forthcoming. All museums of interest are walkable, and so are wonderful restaurants.

We arrived at 5:10 pm and no one was there. To get in we had to turn on our international phone service and spend $12 to make one call. An email had been sent while we were on the road, too late to be of any use. No elevator. Pillows were horrible. The room was soundproof so it was very quiet and we appreciated that. Room was clean, too. Breakfast was good. Easy to walk everywhere.

Staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is good and hotel is just few minute walk to the street.
