Victor's Residenz-Hotel Gera in Gera

The checkin was really unprofessional, nothing was prepared, all data had to be filled out again on paper, the staff was absolutely not welcoming. They did not even inform me about a 25 EUR early checkin fee upfront.

They gave me a room right above the smoking area. It smelled and was noisy.

At the checkout they claimed I had breakfast. Never did and never ordered it. The front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly at all. Not what I expected at this house. Poor!

Worst hotel I have ever been. Conditions are poor, interior is oldy and staff is really rude. I approached to the restaruant and wanted to order a food. It was around 19:50. I had been waiting for 40 minutes for the waiter. Finally once the waiter approached, he communicates that kitchen is closed... I had asked him, what time they are closing the kitchen and he answered "at 21:00". So i had asked why I cannot order when 30 minutes left to closing. I got answer already cleaned dishes... Second reason of my poor rating is that nobody from staff speaks English, a bit weak considering we are in the middle of the Europe. 3rd reason, I spent in this hotel a month, 3 times I received an invoice with wrong adress... and fixing it was a nightmare as nobody been able to communicate with me in English. Incompetency and ignorance of the staff reach space. Additional smaller issues, broken elevator, mandatory breakfast, one day I have asked for launch box as I wanted to leave early, obviously they hadn't prepared it. Describing in one word "disaster'. Don't go there!
