The accommodation itself was fine, very rustically furnished, which is also evident from the pictures, but cozy overall.

However, on the first morning, while airing the room, we noticed that the entire window area in both the living area and the master bedroom was covered in mold.
We immediately reported this to reception, whereupon a maintenance worker came by.
The maintenance worker tried to clean the area a bit with mold remover, but without much success.
Some time later, a cleaning staff member tried again, also with limited success.

Our request to rebook and accommodate us in another accommodation was not responded to. Instead, they vehemently asserted that it wasn't mold, but merely the window seals were "staining." The pictures, however, are obvious.

We subsequently changed bedrooms within the accommodation, as mold is a serious health hazard, especially for asthmatics.

Ultimately, we left early, and neither the hotel nor Expedia offered any compensation or any kind of accommodation. Our request for a price reduction through Expedia was rejected by the hotel.
Further steps, such as reporting to the health department, are being considered by our lawyers.
