We had a great stay here…….not the most inviting from the outside, but really nice inside. Staff were helpful, the owner cheerful and engaging, made us feel very welcome. Bar and restaurant were nice, food was good, beer was cold! Breakfast was plentiful and good. Room….spacious, well equipped, comfortable and clean.

Great place to stay when visiting the south part of the Black Forest. Ideal for participating one of the Schwarzwaldmarathon races. Plenty of hiking and bicycle routes in the environment. We stayed there for about a week. The room in the annex is spacey with king size bed. Excellent wifi . The breakfast buffet is excellent. The restaurant is very good; it is closed on Saturday and Sunday, but there are several other places for lunch and dinner in this small town. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One issue is they offer EV-charging service, there are 3 charging stations, but 2 of the parking spaces are continuously occupied by non-EV or EV which are not charging and there is afaik no reservation system.

The Lindenhof is definitely a good option to choose for the Black Forest marathon weekend as the hotel is in the middle of the historic old town and a mere five minute walk away from the start and finish point of the event. Rooms are spread across three floors and many have their own balcony. The single beds are rather small but the single rooms themselves are spacious. The breakfast is a great buffet and even though it usually opens at 8 on weekends, they move it to 6:30 (as weekdays) for the Saturday and Sunday of the marathon weekend. The only downside was that their restaurant isn’t open on Saturdays and Sundays for any other meal so guests must look for alternative options. It was also good value for money and the family staff was kind and attentive.

Restaurant serves fantastic food, and the service is wonderful. They run the hotel with love. I especially liked the late check out option.

Liked convenience to Black Forest, friendly helpful staff, cute village and free parking everywhere. Pillows too big and soft, but no other complaint.

Constant perfecf service in family tradition, staff in traditional folklore uniform with some modern art. Wifi correct. Quiet, good working space in room desk, lighting. Room 305 spacious. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit eggs bread.

It was my favorite hotel during my whole Germany trip. The staff is super nice and helpful, the room is full of touches, comfortable bed, very stylish decoration, you can definitely feel from details in the room that the owners have put lot of thoughts and efforts into this hotel and have constantly been trying to make it a better place. If am not mistaken, I remember chatting in their restaurants with one of the owner, she said this hotel is their family heritage, the building itself is around 300years old. But considering how comfortable the room is, I really have to say, I am really proud of them, how well they've been looking after this historic architecture. Don't miss out their restaurant as well, it is the best dinning place in town. Don't forget to try their dessert. Soooooo goooood!

We went to Braunlingen with our family to experience Fastnacht - an indescribable festival. This hotel is the best. It is located right in the middle of town so you can walk everywhere. The team there are incredible. Anna & Johannes (brother and sister team running the hotel) take care of everything in such a laid back way. Even though it is very much a local spot, you feel welcome and included. The food is off the charts good (cooked by their father Joseph). Do not miss this place, even if it is only for a meal. You will leave feeling like part of the family.
