Flair Hotel Grüner Baum in Donaueschingen

What an amazing hotel, the service is impeccable, the facilities are expansive, the food is out of this world. I stayed there for four nights for a friends wedding and the hospitality was second to none. The attention that was lavished upon all of us in the wedding party for the duration of our stay I will never forget. Every single member of staff is an absolute asset to Flair Hotel.
This will sound strange but please bear with me, I judge hotels partly by the workmanship in the bathrooms, cheap hotels get slap dash workmen with no pride in their finish and this is most apparent in the bathroom. At Flair the fittings are good quality but it's the finish that is wonderful, the silicone joins, how things are hung, the layout, all these things have been thought out and installed with pride. It is this pride in the hotel that permeates through the whole experience. Well done Flair, well done to all of the staff, well done to the owners, thank you for an unforgettable stay. 5 stars, would absolutely recommend and I will be back. Lots of love from the Best Man.

We had a fantastic time at the Flair Hotel Grüner Baum!
The hotel has an almost 200 year old history and is the perfect base for a stay in Donaueschingen or to explore the Black Forest. It's only a short walk from the local train station and there is a bus stop across the road for those travelling on public transport. The staff was friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel home away from home. Our room was modern and spacious, the bed very comfortable and we loved the large rain fountain shower.
The breakfast buffet was just fabulous (a large variety of delicious German bread rolls, a great selection of ham and cheeses, spreads, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs to your liking, various types of juices and hot beverages, incl. a selection of alternative milks). We also had a delicious dinner in the lush hotel garden.
A big thank you the team! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Lovely family-run hotel in an excellent location for exploring the Black Forest. Modern rooms, delicious breakfast and really helpful staff who speak excellent English. Will definitely be staying again!

Stayed here for several days and couldn't have asked for better hospitality! The staff were really nice and were happy to do anything to help. The food was delicious. They have a huge selection for breakfast. There's a large garden to enjoy, and they're close to town, which has all sorts of amazing things to look at. There's a lot to do in this area. The Black Forest is an awesome place! I highly recommend Flair Hotel for a great stay.

I only stayed one night and had breakfast. The room was a very good size with a sofa and desk. The bed comfortable and everything very clean. The breakfast was a good mix of breads, cold meats, fruits, cheese, cakes, spreads, cerials, yoghurts and probably other things that I did not see. A very nice terrace for beer drinking etc. A garden that I did not use. Most of all it was the assistance and help I recieved after making an emergency booking at 9pm with the owner by telephone and arriving at 11pm that shone through. Everybody was extremely nice and spoke english to a very high standard. If you go to this area I recomend this hotel highly.
