Hotel Fortuna in Schwabisch Gmund

Recently spent several weeks here on business. My room was on the 3rd floor east wing and I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and inviting. I got lucky with a very nice view towards the train station and the bus station which as a perk are very very close. A small river runs behind the hotel and it is fairly quiet here especially at night.

The breakfast is fresh with coffee, tea, juice, cappuccino machine, and always fresh fruits, vegetables, and bread. The bathroom was bright and clean and quite large! The room also has a large wardrobe closet, a mini fridge, and air conditioning. I have heard some of the rooms do not have ac so do some research if you prefer that.

One of my favorite features was the spa. I did not run into many others so be sure to ask about it when you stay. The sauna is quite large, there is a steam room, a very nice cave like shower and my favorite was the two seat sauna that focuses on the back and neck. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Some items to note, both levels of the parking garage are tight. You will need to do some 3 point turns to get into and out of the spot. Also, you do need to speak with the front desk to get a token for exiting the garage. My final piece, the dinner options were not my favorite. They do suffice for a meal, but I would not recommend more than once or twice depending on your length of stay.

The room was warm, and the carpeting throughout was very comfortable.

The location is great, right next to Schwäbisch Gmün train station, just a few minutes' walk.

The breakfast was delicious; I especially loved the blueberry yogurt and fresh berries! There were even gummy bears on the pillows in the room 🥳

Great hotel, right next to the train station and the city gardens. Very friendly staff, bright, welcoming, and spacious rooms. A lovely small pool. A delicious and plentiful breakfast.

Hotel Wellness correct. Excellent dîner.
Hotel qui nécessiterait une petite rénovation : les chambres, les couloirs sont un peu vieillots mais tout est propre.
Accueil top. Check-in rapide.
Parking souterrain et parking à l'arrière de l'hotel.
Quartier pas très joli : inadapté pour sortir le soir.
Le dîner était excellent : je vous recommande la soupe de carotte-gingembre et la salade composée au poulet. Un vrai délice.
La salle de sport est sympa mais le sol est mouillé car les utilisateurs de la piscine passent par la salle de sport pour allez à l'espace sauna.
Le petit-déjeuner se prend dans le bar de l'hotel. La salle est un peu petite.

Decent hotel, hotel terrace for a pre-dinner drink. Small swimming pool with counter-current system, good fitness room. The breakfast room has a cool atmosphere, but the breakfast was good and plentiful. We were there by bike, eight people, and everyone was satisfied.

Very conveniently located by the main station in Schwäbisch Gmünd, the hotel was newly renovated and very clean the staff were friendly und professionell and the breakfast buffet was good

We asked to stay another 30 minutes after the checkout time and were refused even though the hotel was empty. we also asked to leave the car in their parking lot for 3 more hours after checkout and they charged us 4 euros👎👎👎

Nice room, excellent breakfast

Staff are not very friendly but efficient. Room was big and clean, shower box very small so could not move much inside. Breakfast is good and was served by the only friendly staff in hotel. Hotel has parking for an additional charge. Spa opening hours were not displayed nor informed and only opens from late afternoon but it seemed good
