The sauna, swimming pool and spa are nice to visit as well, and the massage is worth it if you just did a long hike or are about to leave for one! The rooms are clean and nice, and the restaurant is more than decent!

Ideal location on a pass right in the Black Forest, perfect for hiking and biking. E-MTB's, swimming pool and wellness available on site. Vegan menu is one of the best ever. Corona-proof - we felt very safe while here.

Cool Location. Perfect Hotel to take a break for couple of days as a motorcyclist. The hotel is located at the top of the Notschreipass.

Great Black Forest stay for single traveller Good value single bed room in top condition and lots of space, with a very good buffet breakfast (if you arrive before 9 - after the choice was limited), a small in-house wellness sauna and access (8 minutes drive or free bus) to partner hotel’s impressive wellness centre (pool, several saunas, steam, plus charged treatments)

There is so much I could say, but this place is ideal. The largest and nicest rooms we stayed in during our time in Germany. Also it's located in the most beautiful place on earth

Not so good: the website promises a direct access to a lift and alpine run - no information that this had, in fact run out of snow and was closed over a month ago. But the close enough run (Notschrei) was good enough

Food in the atmospherically alpine dining rooms was good, if slightly on the expensive side

There was no one on reception when we arrived, and we had to wait in the restaurant for ten minutes to then check in. Dinner service was fine, but the breakfast service was atrocious

Limited staff, disinterested in the needs of guests, and the buffet was not replenished quick enough. Again, no one was on reception when we went to leave - just poor

Recommend their trout (seems that they keep about 50 trout with the river nearby, and they'll catch one when you place an order). They'll fry it very crispy on the skin, while the meat is unbelievably soft

Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere! One immediately feels welcome upon arriving. The rooms are nice and spacious, the bathroom is decent. Breakfast offers a good variety of food. Overall a great experience!

The nicest place in the mountains. small river rushing in the endless back yard. very nice staff, good breakfast, big rooms with great view of the back yard. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious

Only one issue: the water heater is made with plastic, so I wouldn't dare to heat the water to be too hot. The place is right in front of a bus stop. Very convenient to get to the ski resort

Nice family hotel near the Wiese waterfall. Good bathrooms - a bit small but with nice hot water, a good and powerful hair dryer. Great and central location for a week in the black forest

Black Forest experience Very nice hotel operated by a very nice family with personal service and a great restaurant. Right in the heart of the Black Forest but not in a town.

We loved our stay. The owner is amazing! Love the way he take cares of tiny detailings. The food was yummy, also the home made cakes :) I would for sure stay again here.

Great location for short holidays. Owners are really kind and warm. The restaurant and cafe is also very good. I strongly recommend homemade cakes at the noon time.

Stopped there for a coffee and cake on a motorbike tour. Very nice family owned place. Super friendly staff and great cakes!
