A pleasant experience with a few minor caveats. The rooms were clean with a few odd spots on the carpet. The bathroom was clean with the amenities being well stocked. The bed was comfortable and the charging points were conveniently placed. The only few problems were the air conditioning and the coffee machine. The air conditioning did not work well and we had to sleep without it on an exceedingly warm night. The TV did not have Netflix signed in, even though it was promised on the brochure.
However, the customer service was great and was easy to talk to via WhatsApp.
The location of the hotel is fantastic in the heart of the quaint little town of Waldkirch.

Would definitely visit again.

The hotels location is perfect. Its clean. In checking however took us more than half an hour. I would suggest to also have an option to check in at the main desk. This would be way more customer friendly

We had booked a 5 night stay - the room was a little on the small side for 2 people navigating, but efficient. A small fridge would be a great addition to the room. Location is great - walking distance to restaurants/shopping and the train station. The only draw back we found is that there is no physical person that can be addressed - all communication goes through a central office not located in town. So, if there is something you are in need of, you have to contact the head office and if you are lucky someone is available at you location to fulfill the requirement. The person-less check-in, check-out is good, but needs to be more refined when coming to actually needing something.

No service and poor response. Code did not work for the room or lift. Was left outside for a long period with luggage and tired from travelling. I would not book this hotel in the future.

Stayed here for one night whilst (incidentally) a medieval festival was taking place in the town. That meant no access to the hotel and its car park as all of the streets in a 100m radius to it were closed. Hotel did not advise of this prior to arrival so we struggled to find parking elsewhere and spent an hour doing so before we were actually able to then walk to the hotel to check in. There was no one at the hotel desk to speak to in relation to this (we didn’t see any staff for the duration of our stay) - we had to check in using a self-service machine in the lobby. Room was fine, however air conditioning was limited to 19 degrees coolest which wasn’t suitable when the temperature overnight was 20 degrees.

The hotel is in the middle of town on a side street. It was quite loud, as the hotel certainly does not have soundproof windows. On Wednesdays, not only the restaurant but also the hotel is closed. We thought that this only applied to the restaurant. We had to check in at a machine, as you would expect from low-budget hotels. I am not used to this in a Black Forest hotel. We did not have the option of ordering a second pillow, as there was no one there. There is no minibar and we could not cool our cooling pillows. Breakfast for €15 per person was a disaster. There were eggs, but cheap sausage and cheap cheese. The rolls were stale. Jam and other things were packaged. That is not modern anymore. I thought Nutella on the cake stand was bad. I am no longer a child and I did not eat Nutella. There are many bakeries in town that are definitely cheaper and have a better selection. One positive thing: it was clean.

The room and hotel were surprisingly sleek and really well designed - nice to have air-conditioning and a balcony! On a street a block away from the main walkable part of town and a lovely river walk. One small complaint - no Kleenexes in the room! A problem with for someone with bad allergies.

Eduardo and his staff are amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent stay. They looked after our team and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful trip. Clean rooms, parking garage and a great restaurant.
