Everything was to the point. Great breakfast, friendly staff, very clean and great location. The ramp directly to the Obermain Thermen was a highlight. Happy to go again!

This hotel surprised me, it was obvious it's an older hotel but it was in great shape. The room was large and had more than I needed. The food was great and breakfast is very well stocked with many options. The real gem though is the spa with saunas, what an amazing incredible experience. Left our reservation early & would not recommend. The hotel backs up to the train station which keeps you up all night. They do not provide robes or towels for the sauna and the area is soaked all over & without any lockers to store things. The evening receptionist is out of place with the other nice staff. Plenty of other hotels in the area that are way better!

What pleasant surprise. Friendly service. Tastefully decorated, clean, quiet rooms with lots of space. Walking distance to the spa. Who could ask for anything more from a 3 star hotel.

Located right next to the bahnhof, great location. Check in was smooth and the service was very friendly. Spoke English and German with me. Building layout us a little odd but is still good. This is truly a great hotel in a great location. Minutes from (the small) downtown, minutes from the train station, and minutes from the thermal baths. If you're not into soaking in salty soup with a lot of geriatric therapy groups, there's a great hike up Staffelberg and over to Vierzehnheiligen and then Kloster Banz. Much better for your health.

Located in front of the Bad Staeffelstein station. Good hotel with a good location and provide a good food.

The room was very big which we liked a lot, the bathroom however as a little too tiny but overall very nicely. We also liked to have a second sink in the room which was more comfortable than in other stays.

Lovely hotel in a central location, ample parking, amazing food (breakfast and dinner at the restaurant), very clean, and genuinely friendly staff. You can tell that it is a family run business and that the owners love their job.

The owners of Gruner Baum are super👍❤️. They do everything to make this place comfortable, cosy, very tasty and warm. It is situated in the center of Bad Staffelstein, near big supermarket; has it's own restaurant and beer garden, children playground and parking spaces. You can easily get Obermain terme, Aqua Riese and railway station walking about 15-25 minutes along the river.

Excellent value for money, comfortable beds, quiet location. The family who runs the place goes to great lengths to ensure their guests feel welcome. This is evident in many small details, such as the room amenities including a refrigerator, microwave, and kettle. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was excellent.

I had booked for 2 nights and had to cancel at very short notice. I was treated very kindly and with understanding.

Rooms have everything you need, not that big, but it was fine. Were only 1 night to sleep.. bed very comfortable, great view (when the weather is nice) Surprisingly a lot of choice for breakfast, even with fried eggs, yoghurt, fruit, freshly baked rolls and friendly service.. Gladly again

We booked for one night/ stopover. We got room #2 and it had everything we needed, good bed, new bathroom, patio with furniture, fridge and even a microwave. Everything was very clean. The landlords are very nice and try to fulfill every wish. The breakfast was awesome. Thank you again and maybe see you next time.

I go there without my own car. Could not find a taxi to go there and Mr. Schöpke picked me up from station. Very clean. Nice view and huge breakfast. I would very recommend you!

Nice place with with a fantastic view and moderate prices. Avoid the top floor in hot summer though.

Die Aussicht ist außergewöhnlich und das Essen (Frühstück und Abendessen) hat eine sehr gute Qualität!

Restaurace dobrá, parkování v místě. Okolí příjemné na procházky. Z části pokojů nádherný výhled na celé údolí Bad Staffelsteinu a blízké opatství.

Alles im allem kann ich es nur empfehlen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Typisch fränkisch :-). Reichhaltiges Frühstück, gute Küche, leckeres Bier. Einzig für mich war es etwas vom Nachteil am Berg zu wohnen, da ich vor dem Frühstück gerne eine Runde joggen gehe. War aber nicht schlimm, dann ist die Runde etwas kürzer ausgefallen.
