This is truly a great hotel in a great location. Minutes from (the small) downtown, minutes from the train station, and minutes from the thermal baths. If you're not into soaking in salty soup with a lot of geriatric therapy groups, there's a great hike up Staffelberg and over to Vierzehnheiligen and then Kloster Banz. Much better for your health.

The room was very big which we liked a lot, the bathroom however as a little too tiny but overall very nicely. We also liked to have a second sink in the room which was more comfortable than in other stays.

Lovely hotel in a central location, ample parking, amazing food (breakfast and dinner at the restaurant), very clean, and genuinely friendly staff. You can tell that it is a family run business and that the owners love their job.

The owners of Gruner Baum are super👍❤️. They do everything to make this place comfortable, cosy, very tasty and warm. It is situated in the center of Bad Staffelstein, near big supermarket; has it's own restaurant and beer garden, children playground and parking spaces. You can easily get Obermain terme, Aqua Riese and railway station walking about 15-25 minutes along the river.

I had booked for 2 nights and had to cancel at very short notice. I was treated very kindly and with understanding.

Rooms have everything you need, not that big, but it was fine. Were only 1 night to sleep.. bed very comfortable, great view (when the weather is nice) Surprisingly a lot of choice for breakfast, even with fried eggs, yoghurt, fruit, freshly baked rolls and friendly service.. Gladly again

We booked for one night/ stopover. We got room #2 and it had everything we needed, good bed, new bathroom, patio with furniture, fridge and even a microwave. Everything was very clean. The landlords are very nice and try to fulfill every wish. The breakfast was awesome. Thank you again and maybe see you next time.

Alles im allem kann ich es nur empfehlen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Typisch fränkisch :-). Reichhaltiges Frühstück, gute Küche, leckeres Bier. Einzig für mich war es etwas vom Nachteil am Berg zu wohnen, da ich vor dem Frühstück gerne eine Runde joggen gehe. War aber nicht schlimm, dann ist die Runde etwas kürzer ausgefallen.

A good hotel in good location. Breakfast was not included in price but is optional. The Canadian exchange rate made it a little pricey for the cost of breakfast if you are a light eater. Plenty of coffee and pastry bistros within a 2min walk in the square is a cheaper option. Overall room was very nice, staff helpful and nice hotel, great location and quiet area.

I have stayed at this hotel twice on business and it is the most satisfying hotel in Germany. The view from the top floor windows is fantastic. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent, as well as the quality of the breakfast. Most importantly, the refrigerator and free minibar are a big help for me. The time for romance in this house is finally over. No more stiff, intrusive, and artificial services. Finally, genuine people and honest service. This was my best stay in this house so far. A very successful change of concept. I'm finally happy to be back!

A great choice for staying in Hamburg but outside of the historic city center. You can easily access the historic center via the bus stop located directly across the street which runs are fairly reliable intervals and, in turn, grants you walking access to a wide variety of amazing German restaurants, pubs, and shops.

Overall a good hotel to stay at. Good price, killer AC (especially needed when it was 36+ outside), very quiet, and nice rooms. Very pleasant stay at the B&B Hotel Bamberg – everything was just right! Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and great value for money. The location is convenient, and the breakfast was tasty. The only downside: parking spaces are a bit limited – if you arrive late, you might need a bit of luck. Otherwise, absolutely recommendable!

The hotel is wonderful, with friendly staff and more than enough to get by. There is a supermarket about 1km away and a few restaurants close by. The old town is a bit far away with about 2.2km walk until you reach it. When you get to the old town there are wonderful restaurants and shops all along the roads. Really enjoyed the town!

It is not far from the train station, and there is a bus stop across the street. Basically all buses go to the bus terminal in the city center in 2 stops.

Great beer, fantastic pizza! Really friendly too, despite our abject inability to speak any German... Easily reached by bus from Bamberg, but a fairly easy walk along the river too (if, for example, you encounter a bus strike like we did!)

Location is a traditional restaurant with Italien and german food. It is comfortable and clean. We just came there for a drink, but even though the restaurant was nearly empty because of the early evening hours we were told that this is not possible, because of reservations. We then could assure the waitress that we would just take 1 single beer at the bar, which we then got with some mumbeling.

I had a nice stay with my family here. The rooms were basic but comfortable and the location was very accessible. Parking was easy and safe. The room came with a single soap for hands/body/hair, but its Ibis so I wasn’t expecting very much anyway. Glasses for brushing teeth were available near the reception if you need them. Overall, it’s good enough for a short stay.

I really love this place! It is an old, traditional house, renovated and used as a hotel. It is huge!!! It has a sense of a mansion of the old times. The people here are really nice too! My only problem is the toilets. They are tiny tiny rooms. My bathroom has a bathtube inside but no room to take even a step. Other than that, the place is just perfect!

I could not do any work which requires intensive internet use. There are no kettle in the room which I could have used at night. I could not turn up a heater and room was cold at night. Reception was a bit distant to me.
