Where to stay in Passau

The lock is very good and new technology compare to most Hotel. It's close to train station and very convenient.

Great hotel! Room, food and location is great! Our team of 6 are very satisfied with the hotel stay. Highly recommended!!

The room facilities are OK, the hygiene is OK, and the bathroom is fully functional. There is a window for ventilation, which is also good. The breakfast on the sixth floor has a complete variety, and the fruits are very good, especially the pears are very sweet and delicious.

Good stay. Comfortable. Quiet. Clean. Good breakfast. Would stay again.

Good stay. Comfortable. Quiet. Clean. Good breakfast. Would stay again.

Good location and the room is very big and clean!

Beautiful Corner, right next to a walking area. Happy to finally find a hotel where they have for the family room 2 single beds for the kids (and not couch bed or any other not ideal solution). Very clean and nice! You can hear the noise of the streets but being a walking area from 10 and not next to clubs or bar and it won’t be noisy till really late. Very happy with this, it’s already a few times...

Room was spacious. Location was great since it was in the heart of shopping, cafes and restaurants. Love it!

Did not eat breakfast there. Other shops close by.

Staff was very helpful, and the location is ideal - East quick walks to either riverbank, Old Town, the cathedral, and bridges to Innstadt and Veste Oberhaus.

Good for a short stay There was not much room for clothes, and not everything was perfectly clean. Still, breakfast was okay with decent vegan options, and it was easy to walk everywhere. In addition, the staff is super friendly.

A very nice hotel 10 minute walk from train station between the Donau and the inn rivers. Easy walk to the Old City, the two rivers, and the pedestrian shopping areas. The nearby Thai restaurant is excellent.

Room was clean, housekeeping, restaurant and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. On your website it said laundry facilities. Turns out the hotel only has laundry services so they wash your clothes for you but charges 1-6 Euros per piece! That was disappointing as I thought there were actual washer and dryer that guests can use for a more fair price. We ended up having to go to a local laundromat...

Beautiful clean hotel in great location. Near St Stephen’s cathedral and town with many shops and restaurants.

Exceptionally located and friendly hotel right on the river walkway. A beautiful stroll to many outdoor eateries just few scenic steps away. Hotel included breakfast was outstanding. A big shoutout to the night desk clerks who were the recipients of my 12 hour time difference correspondence. My e-mails were answered within hours! In every other hotel, the e-mails were answered in two days. ...

Perfect! This hotel was convenient and charming. The room was perfect and loved the eclectic decor. The breakfast was amazing but then it's Europe.

We chose the König because of its excellent location, by the river Danube and in the old town. Absolutely thrilled with our choice, a traditional, characterful and warm hotel. Our room overlooked the river and felt homely and inviting. The bed was very comfortable and all amenities provided. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast caters for a good range of tastes and food is fresh and well presented...

If you arrive by car make sure you also reserve a parking spot it is in the basement. Elevator goes from garage to room. Easy to transport your luggage. Fabulous breakfast. You can take a boat from across the hotel to Vienna Melk and Linz . Super convenient

Beautiful historical location in middle of Passau!!

It’s a nice boutique hotel with an excellent breakfast . Bed and especially the pillow were bad

I am writing a review to commend the staff of this hotel when I was in need of assistance they stepped up and were wonderful. The young woman at the front desk was terrific! I cannot say enough good things about her. The hotel was very clean and the location was good.

Wonderful breakfast selection

Basic accommodations Based on the reviews I thought the hotel would be of a higher standard. No elevator had to carry luggage up stairs.

If this hotel had been billed as 3* I would give it a rating of four or five. It's attractive. The rooms are nicely finished. We had a little terrace. The breakfast was excellent. But: no a/c, no elevator, the room was quite small, the bathroom was tight, the towels are small, the beds were covered in rubber, the reception desk closes at 19:00. It's a reasonable hotel, just not a 4-star one. For one...

We had a great stay! The bed was very comfortable, the location is excellent—close to the highway and with plenty of shops nearby. Highly recommended

Room was clean, and we could check-in at 23:30, even though reception was closed. Parked my car outside at street. Entry is next to Kaufland

I'd be happy to come back! Unfortunately, the parking in front of the hotel is no longer free.

The hotel was conveniently accessible by car and offered ample free parking. The reception was warm and welcoming, with a lovely touch of cake and a chocolate cookie on arrival. Additionally, they provided a water dispenser and complimentary coffee at the reception area. 😊 The rooms were slightly smaller than average but provided sufficient space for the two of us, and the heating worked perfectly...

My overall experience was ok. The room was pretty small and the carpet was very dirty. Thankfully the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was properly cleaned. You could hear the noise from outside very clearly which was irritating when a car-alarm went off a couple a times during one of the nights… The breakfast was ok but could absolutely be better.

Room too small for two people, no air conditioning, bedspreads were dirty.

Tastefully decorated boutique hotel with friendly and warm services.

A lovely stay with views over the Inn in a nicely presented, warm and comfortable hotel with friendly staff.

Perfect location at the confluence of two rivers, quiet with access to everything, and perfect before and after a Danube river cruise

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel has to have the best view of the river in the city. The outside veranda was the perfect spot for a welcoming beverage and the walking area around the peninsula was right nearby. Wonderful location and wunderbar staff and owner

Stay in Passau We had an unforgettable stay at Hotel Schloss Ort in Passau. The history of this property, dating back to the 13th century, combined with the comfort and charm of its accommodations, made it truly special. The owner and staff were exceptionally attentive and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is absolutely perfect—nestled right along the beautiful...

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Hotel Schloss Ort as a family of four with young children. Even before arrival, the reception team proactively called to inform us of everything we needed to know for our Sunday night check-in. The hotel itself is stunning—full of character, with spacious, beautifully furnished rooms. While not specifically designed for families, the unique setting is absolutely...

Lovely little hotel on the edge of Passau town , easy within walking distance roughly 10mins away , very clean and all rooms had everything you need for a short stay over maybe 1/2 days , excellent breakfast choices of continental, full English and much more , would highly recommend this hotel .

The hotel located across the other side of Danube River, nice environment. Take about 15min walk from the Passau train station. Room is spacious and clean. Staff Elias was very courteous and helpful. The lobby is so nice & the glass ceiling allow sky viewing.

Awesome breakfast! Within reasonable walking distance to experience Passau. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. Very close to old town - easily walked.

It's a very nice hotel, although the room was a bit smaller than expected. The bath towel was also a bit on the small side. On the positive side, the room came complete with a kettle and beverage kit. The bed was very comfortable and there was an electric fan tocombat the warm weather. One down side is the parking. Whilst yhere is free parking available, it is a couple of hundred yards up hill from...

Located probably a 15 minute walk from the centre, the location is nice. I chose this as it had parking and I wanted somewhere secure for my motorbike, but they charge €20 to park so may as well stay in the centre and pay to park. The room was nice, and breakfast was reasonable.

Everything was great. It just makes sense to put somewhat wider curtains on the window

I thought the receptionists were friendly and I was happy with my room and the breakfast. However, the name of the hotel implies it is near the river conjunction. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

This is an excellent hotel with easy access to old town. The rooms are well appointed with all of the amenities including wireless Internet access. We found the hosts warm and friendly. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and wonderful selection of breads.

Spent an enjoyable weekend for 2 in a nice 4 star hotel. It was a toss of the coin between this hotel and one more into the city centre and honestly we didn't regret it. The hotel is traditionally Bavarian styled but discreetly modern, e.g. the lift was tactile rather than old style buttons. Check-in, and check out was quick and efficient and the room (#106) was spacious, if initially cold. The bathroom...

Really good food in their restaurant. Very friendly and accomodating staff

Really enjoyed recent stay at hotel. Check in was seamless, room spacious, comfortable, clean with really comfy beds and a great balcony. Food was delicious, and the staff could not have been friendlier. The resaurant staff especially were superb. I look forward to staying again.

Great little apartment for our stay, the staff are super friendly, the room was much larger than we expected! Great location..highly recommended 👌🏼

Clean, large, comfortable, new rooms at a reasonable rate. Parking is easy in their covered carpark. Good service. Short drive or long walk into Passau city center

Wonderful hotel with comfortable rooms, comfortable beds, and a functional kitchen. The location is also a short walk to the city and there is a supermarket and bakery nearby. Amazing hotel.

Great staff! Amazing sized rooms, bathtub, restroom! Bed was comfy. Breakfast room is small but good food. It's a walk away from the main part of Passau but definitely worth it. (Or get a car/ride share) I was here in OCT of 2021. I would love to visit again!

Great aparthotel. Value for money. Big and spacious. Clean and well equipped kitchen. Large bathroom with a tub. Location is about 25 min walk from the train station. There is an Edeka 200m away which was convenient.

We took a trip to Germany and Austria and stayed in Wilderman Hotel. This was one of the nicest hotels on our journey. I loved the extra large rooms, the enclosed balcony, the large bathroom, the king size bed. It was very clean and they had a nice breakfast. The hotel was right by the Danube river also. Great hotel.

(published for the incorrect location, initially) A warm Thank you to Sandra Draudt who is the epitome of hospitality. Intelligent, respectful, affable and dedicated to her service. Her daily smile lights up the day. Fantastic hotel, great breakfast and warm. We've visited over 200 hotels all over the world and we always choose the smaller boutique properties. We appreciate the friendships we experienced...

Mo clue, we went to see the glass collection and Sissi's room... Which was good fun

Very happy with my experience at this hotel. Very charming and peaceful in a good location with clean, adequate rooms with charming furniture. The small room was efficient and perfect for myself. I appreciate the simple and efficient booking and check-in process without tons of paperwork, rewards programs, and attempts to sell upgrades and add-ons. I will happily stay here again.

I have never stayed at a hotel in germany wich such kind staff, everything was super clean and neat. If u want the experience of staying at a historical building, this is the place for you. Also it's in a very cool area yet perfectly silent to sleep peacefully at night.

This is a nice comfortable hotel on the river, Danube. It is in the same building as the glass museum. The decor and furniture are old style. They have different categories of rooms. Depending on size. We har the smallest and it was really good. It was possible to park my motorcycle outside. It is street parking. Stayed here twice.

This hotel is situated on the banks of the Danube and is a restored period building. the hotel appears to be immaculately kept, one of the cleanest I've ever stayed at. Rooms are large and most have views over the river Danube. There is a great restaurant we ate twice there once inside and once outside on their Wednesday Bar-b-Que grill nights, great steak and reasonably priced. I would recommend this...

We stayed here en route from UK to Bulgaria, stayed two nights to rest from the journey and see the beautiful city. The hotel rooms were comfortable with simple furnishings, the only problem was that it was very hot and with no air-conditioning and if the window was left open the noise even from traffic across the river was very evident. The restaurant was very good, excellent service and food, the...

we stayed at this hotel the night before boarding a Danube river cruise boat. The hotel is centrally located in Passau and within easy walking distance to the train station and all the old city. The hotel room was good but not luxurious - nice bathroom. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful [stored our bags for the day until the late boarding time]. The hotel restaurant was very good and...

The hotel is easy to reach and located next to the Danube. Great for those staying before or after a river cruise. Breakfast is heart and fulling and has a good variety. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is available at no charge after 19:00 until 9:00 the next morning.

Very sentral location at the river and still just in center. I got a single room late evening. The room was ok, but had a strange smell,,,I could not find out from where,,, I try to have the window open, but it did not help much,,, The internet works fine and the restaurant gives you good food with great view. Even with many visitors the service was quickly and friendly. Ok breakfast and easy parking...

This hotel was a challenge to get to, park and to get to our room. The front of the hotel was in a small busy street with no parking to unload luggage. We had to go to the back of the hotel which is on a major street to unload our luggage. From this door you must climb about 15 stairs to get to the elevator which takes you to the floor where your room is located. You then had to go down a small...

This is a nice hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The bathroom is big by European standards and the towels were large and soft. The sheets and duvets on the beds were luxurious! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet had all the standard items for a truly Continental feast. The only reason for the 4 star overall rating is, as is standard in Europe, no air-conditioning...

It's a lil'bit retro, but it was fully equipped with everything you could need. Nice big rooms, and we found a fan too in the room :)

A nice reasonably priced family hotel for overnight.

I'm really enjoying my staying here, the room is big and comfortable, the breakfast is great, and the staff very kind

Surprised of this hidden spot in town. Not the only one though ... It is a good surprise. Don't get it wrong.

Extremely well service. Politeness and nice smiles. A place to go

Great place to stay. Would stay here everytime.

Quite handy to stroll around pier, Dom and many other interesting places😄

Hard to find room but great location and well maintained

Pre cruise stay Good location. Great for pre cruise 🛳 stay. Nice little cafe right across the front door. Walking distance to nice restaurants.

Happy in Passau Perfect - 5 stars on everything. Arturo helped us with everything we needed.

Great location Great location. Large room with all the amenities. Friendly staff.

Clean, quiet location, lovely landscape, outdoor terrace, friendly staff. After 12 hours of driving, I was late with check-in, but the staff was kind and left the keys at the reception regardless of the time I arrived.

Rooms are very cozy, very comfortable and are being cleaned every day, also you can place a corresponding sign to request an extra cleaning while you are not home. Location is little bit far from the centre, but the outstanding transportation systems makes it bearable . Breakfast is not included in the price, but I have tried it couple of times and I can say that it's very delicious. The nearest supermarket...

A one night stay. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Couldn't find a lift anywhere so carrying luggage up and down 2 floors kept me fit lol The hotel is a little way out of Passau by car but is in pleasant countryside. Car park was full when we arrived , but that was due to one part being closed because a tree was being cut down. In the restaurant the food was good and a varied menu.

We got here early in the a.m. and the lady at the reception was very friendly , helpful and offered us to keep our luggage if we wanted to go to town. We were treated like friends and she made sure our room was done asap.

Nice and clean, could do with a kettle and cups though. Only German channels on TV.

Amazing helpfull staff! Had a problem with booking, one guy came in 10 minutes to help me out even was out of hours. Lovely service! Will use again!

Modern, clean and the breakfast was healthy and delicious.

Nice reasonable price and location Nice cosy hotel. Room is small, but functional and clean. Front desk staff were very helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to a river cruise. The Danube river was flooding from heavy rains and the hotel helped us with some alternate arrangements. Very kind of them.

Great experience overall. Traffic noise from car parking. Some noise from other rooms.

most beautiful place high above town, in the historical fortress of Passau’s bishops.

A rather good youth hostel with decent breakfast and a nice view. Unfortunately, the wifi is pretty bad. Be aware that you‘ll need to climb quite some stairs to get up there!

Saddest breakfast you might have, no heaters, old anoyying showers, old beds , no elevator, dangerous stairs.the only advantage is the view!

Lovely atmpshere, great breakfast. A bit tricky getting up there with loaded bikes (especially when arriving at night). All in all, definitely recommend!

Very cosy accommodation in the center of Passau, however you have to be member of the hostel chain or pay additional fee. The hostel required to pay half of the price in advance without posibility to use your card, therefore you have to pay additional fee for SEPA transaction. Not transparent. At the end the price is pretty high challenging the hotel rooms inside of old town, where you dont have to...

Nice, modern HI youth hostel in an exceptional location - within the walls of the castle, with fantastic views to Passau below.
