This hotel is situated on the banks of the Danube and is a restored period building. the hotel appears to be immaculately kept, one of the cleanest I've ever stayed at. Rooms are large and most have views over the river Danube. There is a great restaurant we ate twice there once inside and once outside on their Wednesday Bar-b-Que grill nights, great steak and reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel for either a a business trip or few a few days city trip/getaway. Breakfast Ist class, easy parking and walking distance from the railway station.

The location of the hotel restaurant is lovely, and they have both German and English menus. But the food is not of the quality you'd expect for the prices. I ordered from the spargel (asparagus) menu, a spring specialty, and I got overcooked asparagus with packaged Hollandaise sauce that was virtually inedible. For 10 Euros, I'd expect homemade Hollandaise. The fish was better, but nothing special.

We stayed here en route from UK to Bulgaria, stayed two nights to rest from the journey and see the beautiful city. The hotel rooms were comfortable with simple furnishings, the only problem was that it was very hot and with no air-conditioning and if the window was left open the noise even from traffic across the river was very evident. The restaurant was very good, excellent service and food, the terrace was perfect in the hot evenings. The location was just right, you could easily walk to all the main sights within the city.

we stayed at this hotel the night before boarding a Danube river cruise boat. The hotel is centrally located in Passau and within easy walking distance to the train station and all the old city. The hotel room was good but not luxurious - nice bathroom. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful [stored our bags for the day until the late boarding time]. The hotel restaurant was very good and the outdoor patio overlooked the castle and the Danube. the only problem was the lower level rooms didn't have good Wifi so you had to go to the restaurant to connect.

The hotel is easy to reach and located next to the Danube. Great for those staying before or after a river cruise. Breakfast is heart and fulling and has a good variety. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is available at no charge after 19:00 until 9:00 the next morning.

Very sentral location at the river and still just in center. I got a single room late evening. The room was ok, but had a strange smell,,,I could not find out from where,,, I try to have the window open, but it did not help much,,, The internet works fine and the restaurant gives you good food with great view. Even with many visitors the service was quickly and friendly. Ok breakfast and easy parking near the hotel.

This hotel was a challenge to get to, park and to get to our room. The front of the hotel was in a small busy street with no parking to unload luggage. We had to go to the back of the hotel which is on a major street to unload our luggage. From this door you must climb about 15 stairs to get to the elevator which takes you to the floor where your room is located. You then had to go down a small hallway off to the side to get to your room. This room was very small with no safe. To get to the reception area, you had to go through the restaurant to get to your room and vice versa. The parking was a challenge. There is a parking lot a block away, but you will have to feed the meter, so you don’t get a parking ticket. We used a private parking garage a few blocks away which for about the same price as the meters, you get to park your car and not worry about feeding the meters. This hotel is close to the Danube river where the river cruise boats dock, the lovely cathedral which has noon-time concerts, restaurants and shopping.

The woman at the hotel quickly and cheerfully addressed a room issue which I had and I am grateful for that. The breakfast was excellent in a comfortable atmosphere. Housekeeping arrived mid to late afternoon which is a bit late for me (I sometimes like a nap). Biggest issue was poor and unreliable Wi-Fi.

It's a fantastic restaurant on a bank of the Danube, so that the view one can enjoy on the elegant buildings located on the other side of the river and on the river itself while having a meal is marvellous. The food in that restaurant is made with ingredients of the highest quality. I asked for tofu and it was delicious. All the waiters, waitresses and the rest of the staff are very kind and helpful. Therefore it's by all means recommendable to go to the restaurant concerned and have a meal there while in Passau
