Dormero Express Hotel Passau in Passau

I just stayed there for a week for work.

The man at the front desk the first night was less than pleasant. He refused to read the email where we were checking in a day earlier - and had be okayed in an email with the date change and with agreed prices. Gave us the wrong room- the very small one, refused to change it and would not listen to me when I tried to explain my team manager gave the wrong last name (my husbands and not mine so he claimed I didn’t have a room at all) my husband was there and also tried to explain I’m the same person. I should not have to explain to people why my husband and I have different last names.

After 2 hours of back and forth, we got the size of room we booked and paid for. But he made us pay an extra €30 euro to do so. Which we paid because we just wanted to go to bed.

The room was nice and clean upon arrival but not once was my room cleaned in the 9 nights I stayed there - even with the sign on the door, no towels changed, no toilet paper restocked, no garbage removed…. When asks we were told they clean every 5 days, but that never happened.

The room was above the loading bay of the grocery store, every night except Saturday nights from 2:30 am onwards, trucks deliver goods, idle, workers smoke and bang things around, I’m a light sleeper so this was no enjoyable. I was told there were no other rooms available so I could not move.

If you’re passing through and want an ok hotel for the night, this will do, but I wouldn’t recommend it for more than that.

Zero service quality. Booked in, arrived at 22:40, no one at service desk, no PIN received, I called the emergency number but NO ONE ANSWERED!!! Spent about 30 min trying to call again and again.
I had my wife and my 4 years old son all tired . I booked another hotel nearby.
What a joke hotel this was!!!

The rooms are old and dirty, there are mold spots in the shower cabin. There were holes on my door because the card reader was taken off.
We were not notified that the reception is only open from 8 to 16 and this caused a lot of problems.
We talked on mobile with the reception to include breakfast which was approved by them. The next day we had breakfast, but the day after the breakfast area was closed and no staff was present. And the last day the staff did not let us have breakfast, even after we told them that it was discussed with the reception(who were not present because of the modified opening time)

Just awful. We didn't even get into the room. Reception left early, and left our key in a safe. The key didn't work. The name on the Key Card was not ours but they had sent us the code. The emergency number did not go through. So we had to look for alternative plans in the middle of the night. I wish I had read the reviews

I would not recomend this hotel to anyone!
The rooms are very very dirty and loud and the safty is also realy old school.
The staff is rude and incompetent and they just cant get the bills right even, when you advice them.
When you drink the water from the sink, youll also get sik.

Avoid this Hotel if you can!
