Weisse Düne in Borkum

Clean quaint rooms, super friendly staff, and great breakfast with just the right amount of selection, and you can't beat the free champagne offered in the mornings. Best location if you're not looking for beach view. This hotel is right in the middle of town. Quick walk to it all. It felt like home.

A heartwarming winter stay, simply wonderful!

We stayed at the Hotel Weisse Düne this past winter, and it was still an absolutely heartwarming experience. Outside it was cold and wintry. Inside, it was cozy, quiet, and simply pleasant. Exactly what you want when you really want to unwind.

Arriving & Feeling at Home
Even at check-in, we had the feeling: Here, you're not just a "guest," you're truly welcome. The team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuine. Not at all forced, but genuinely warm and welcoming. This characterized our entire stay.

Room & Comfort
Our room was fantastic! Clean, well-maintained, cozy, and perfect for relaxing. Sure, the decor isn't modern, but that's what makes it so charming. Coming back inside after a cold day and feeling completely relaxed was wonderful.

Breakfast
The breakfast was truly excellent: fresh, with a good selection and high quality.

Atmosphere
What we especially appreciated was the calm and pleasant atmosphere. No stress, no hustle and bustle, simply a place where you feel completely at ease. The hotel has character and at the same time that "home away from home" feeling. :D

Hotel Weisse Düne and its team managed to make it possible for us to completely relax during the cold season. A definite recommendation, as we'd love to come back!

Had an amazing time with my mother for her birthday 2 weeks ago!! We shared a room and had the best view of the all the city with the lighthouse, train station, all the day and night people watching, and even the church bells on Sunday and Wednesday!!! The highlight was always the complimentary breakfast each morning!!! Nothing compares to this beautiful spread each morning, in the US, wish they would take lessons, because the breakfast we had each morning was above par!!! Any kind of coffee/hot tea, juice, and the different kinds of cheese,meats, eggs, even salmon cream cheese and bagel lochs!!! German brotchen.. so many different kinds of bread, jams and jellies, even fresh seafood for the toppings on your breads and toast, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, fresh melon, I could go on and on… even once the breakfast was closed at 11am, if you needed. Water, soda, beer, wine, etc.. you could go down to the dining area grab what you wanted and leave a little note so once you checked out, you could pay for it then! We had a little refrigerator in our room, and each day we would go to one of the local grocery stores and get our snacks and beverages and be set for the night, once we were done for the evening! Our windows stayed propped open, bc in Germany all the windows can be either propped open or opened all together.. the fresh cool air at night and in the mornings was so amazing!!! The bathroom was spacious, even a tall wall heater that served as a heater and clothing/towel rack to warm and dry clothes and towels was so great,too!! Each morning during breakfast they would clean the room and set out new towels and take the trash!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I really really enjoyed this beautiful gem of an island!! Mostly the memories with my mother who lives in Germany and I in the US, it was the perfect vacation for both of us! Borkum has so much to see and do! Walking distance to everything and so many cafes and stores and restaurants to choose from!! Was saddened to leave but can’t wait to come back! The little train that takes you to and from the 2 hour ferry ride is so sweet too! The entire experience was amazing!!! Adorable and kind people on the island!! Can’t wait to come back

Really good service and nice staff! breakfast was delicious and a lot of choice. The room was clean and really big with comfortable bed.

We can only recommend this hotel. Everything is very clean and the breakfast buffet was very rich. We can only say positive things about the staff. Everything was great, we will definitely be back. 👍👍👍👌

Very friendly welcome, we were offered a coffee on arrival. The room was very nice and modern. Kettle and a large TV was also available. The bathroom was great. All in all, everything was very clean. We also felt very comfortable in the breakfast room. Even on Sunday there was fresh bread from the bakery. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. We look forward to the next visit 🙂👍

We were thrilled again, especially from the friendliness and cleanliness. Feeling good comes first. The breakfast is great !!! We were there for the third time and will be back with great pleasure.
