Hotel Atlantic Juist in Juist

My 4-night stay at Hotel Atlantic exceeded expectations and perfectly reflected the standards of a refined four-star property. In several aspects, the experience went even beyond what I typically associate with this category. The hotel stands out immediately for the quality of its spaces: impeccably clean, well-maintained, and designed to offer a sense of calm and comfort throughout the stay. The room, a surprisingly spacious mini-apartment, balances practicality and warmth with great precision. In addition to a private bathroom and a balcony (unused due to Juist’s harsh December cold), the room includes a kitchenette and a well-stocked minibar. The setup provides everything one might need: towels, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, and all the essentials that allow for a completely worry-free stay. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, ensuring deep rest, while the room temperature is perfectly adjusted—an ideal contrast to the icy weather outside. Returning to such a warm, welcoming environment after a winter walk on the island was a genuine pleasure every single time. The true highlight of the hotel, however, is the staff. The quality of the service clearly reflects excellent training and highly attentive management. The receptionist greeted me with professionalism and warmth, offering precise guidance and making the arrival experience remarkably smooth. The bartender at the hotel’s private bar is both skilled and personable: he expertly guides guests in choosing cocktails and makes each visit enjoyable with insightful conversations and stories. At breakfast, the attention to detail is exemplary. The young woman with the ponytail and green blouse consistently delivered impeccable service—after asking for a cappuccino on the first morning, she remembered my preference and brought it to the table automatically, always accompanied by a genuine smile. The continental breakfast is another strong point. The variety, both sweet and savory, is extensive and truly satisfying—something I value greatly in hotels of this category. While the overall price is on the higher side, it is fully justified by the quality of the facilities and the outstanding professionalism of the staff, which elevates the entire experience. I did not have the chance to use the swimming pool located on the lower floor, but based on the level of the rest of the property, I am confident it upholds the same high standards. This was my third time visiting Juist, but my first stay at Hotel Atlantic. Had I known about it earlier, it would have been my choice from the very beginning. Should I return to the island in the future, there is no doubt—I would book here again without hesitation. Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, and small groups of friends. I also noticed several guests staying with their dogs, which is a welcome bonus for those traveling with pets. Truly an excellent experience in every respect.

Very warm welcome, super friendly, helpful staff. Clean room, good facility. Breakfast buffet was great, everything was plentiful and fresh. Evening menu top quality, be it meat, fish or vegetarian menu for everyone. 👍👍 Note for the bathroom. Something is missing storage space.

There were 6 of us here. Everything was great. Very friendly and pleasant service. Breakfast and food were also very good. We stayed here several times and would like to come back again and again!

Good hotel with an attractive spa area. The breakfast is rich, always fresh and is constantly topped up. The service is extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and well equipped. Unfortunately our room was a bit noisy...

The location is the big plus. The breakfast also left nothing to be desired and the dining area was inviting and new. The rooms are well equipped and the small kitchenette is an advantage that should not be underestimated, especially in the off-season (many restaurants and cafés are closed at the end of November). However, the rooms and the sauna area are visibly old, but there is nothing to complain about. Overall, still a good price-performance ratio. We would book again.

I stayed at the hotel for four days with my daughter and my two grandchildren. Had a family room on the second floor facing the spa park. The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance of the harbor even with luggage. The room is big enough, great layout with separate children's rooms, clean. throughout the hotel, everyone was friendly and accommodating. The swimming pool was quite spacious, the water temperature was pleasant, but the room temperature in the showers and bathroom was too cold for us. The sauna area was very well maintained and attractive.
The breakfast buffet is really very good and everyone can find something here. What we didn't like at all and really didn't like were all the dogs in the breakfast room! They have to go past the buffet to the table. We have dogs at home ourselves, but something like that just isn't possible.
What's also a shame is that the restaurant is no longer in the building. We were also totally disappointed that the bar was also closed, without us knowing it beforehand or without it being known on the homepage.
The hotel is not suitable for couples or those looking for peace and quiet, there are lots of children and lots of dogs. Which didn't bother us with two small children...
All in all we liked it and therefore four stars
