Hotel Meeresburg in Norderney

Top location directly on the sea, in the first row. The building has an apartment and a hotel section. The service is (with one exception at the breakfast buffet) extremely guest-oriented, accommodating, and friendly. Our children were also always well looked after. The rooms are very clean, even if the furnishings are showing their age. The accommodation has a swimming pool and a sauna available in the afternoon. The included breakfast buffet is extensive, although there is still room for improvement with the bread rolls.
On our day of departure, we had to stay for several hours due to a storm and the ferry cancellations, but we were immediately offered the opportunity to spend the day in the hotel's swimming pool. They even provided towels. The reception staff kept us constantly updated on the current weather conditions and ferry times – great!

The hotel is a bit dated, but consistently clean. The staff is always polite and happy to help with any questions. The breakfast is perfectly adequate; there's something for everyone. The pool and sauna are free. We would definitely come back.

The new apartment building is fantastic. Beautifully renovated, with a comfortable sofa bed. Everything you need for a pleasant stay is there. The location is also superb; you can rent a beach chair and relax 😌 or use the hotel's swimming pool. Thank you for the wonderful time!

A bit old, otherwise we felt very comfortable.
What we will remember is that there was a small kitchen in the room, so you don't have to go out to eat every day.

It's good that it doesn't look the same on the inside as it does on the outside. Could use a new coat of paint.
