ACHAT Hotel Monschau, Monschau1 / 30

ACHAT Hotel Monschau
North Rhine-Westphalia, Monschau, Laufenstraße 82 🧭 Map
Nice location in the old center.
Very good location and the staffs are very friendly and polite.
I stayed here for one night for a private event. You can really tell the hotel is in dire need of maintenance and renovation. I assume this is due to the successive bankruptcies and changes in ownership. It seems another crisis is just around the corner. This was particularly noticeable in the bathroom – only a pathetic scrap of toilet paper left in the crooked holder, dust in the floor corners, streaky...
Lovely hotel Lovely hotel well placed for access to the town. I managed to make use of the pool and had it to myself. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good choice of food but like many German hotels, no options for those with dietary requirements. We made the mistake of eating our evening meal here and it's fair to say it was basic. A set menu with no option for dietary needs.
An Oke stay. A place to sleep. Don’t expect much. Good value for service
we only faced one inconvenient with the elevator because it was out of service and we were in the 5th floor, but other than that, everything was great.

Hotel de Lange Man
North Rhine-Westphalia, Monschau, Dröft 3 🧭 Map
The reception was a bit cold and seemed to be about getting our money as soon as possible. The room is OK but the bed was two singles pushed together and the shower was tiny, like something from a student flat. We had a TV with Netflix and other apps on it but were told it didn't have a WiFi connection, which it did, as I managed to connect it myself. Breakfast was OK but if you want to eat a decent...
Amazing location, great value for the money, fantastic service. All of these made it a fantastic weekend destination for us. We'll be back one day for sure.
Great hotel for a motorbike trip, secure parking garage was available. There is a dinner buffet.
Nice hotel. Indeed the rooms need some renovation. The breakfast was quite OK (for a Dutch hotel :) ) the stuff is amazing, they are always available and helpful. But by far the best thing about this hotel is its sauna. You basically reserve and the whole sauna area, with 4 different sauna rooms, jacuzzi and showers. Is for your private use in that hour. This was wonderful experience. We would come...
During our stay, we discovered a few important aspects worth mentioning for future guests. Firstly, it's advisable to request a room at the back of the hotel to avoid the noise from the terrace and passing traffic, which can be quite disruptive. One significant drawback was the lack of air conditioning, which made the rooms a bit uncomfortable, especially during warmer days. Although the rooms were...
A great base camp location to explore the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and was able to provide helpful info about the area.
