This review is of the restaurant only. The hotel site is opposite the lake and depending where you are seated can give lovely views of the lake. Our server was excellent and spoke limited English which complemented our limited German.He even went out of his way and obtained an off menu item . The menu choice was fairly average but the food was nicely cooked and presented and there was plenty of it

Leger coach trip to Germany for the New Year, staying at the Hotel Seemowe near Simmerath, we had a great crowd on our coach and the drivers Andy and Sonia were brilliant, I would recommend booking a Leger holiday they do some great locations and great trips.

Stayed here via Ledger Holidays. Check in was very fast and efficient. Room was a reasonable size with a Good size balcony overlooking the water. Bed was reasonably comfortable but pillows were extremely soft. Bathroom was OK with a reasonable size shower with average water pressure, but very slow to drain. Overall the room was OK, but was in need of a refurbishment to get away from the 1980s decor...

The view from the cafe Konditerei Henn is great but we couldn't enjoy it fully because the owners had put the card with the names on the tables and we asked for another table but we were not allowed to change the table although there was enough place there. A hotel run by a very friendly lady who constantly takes care of her guests. The breakfast is excellent, served at the table and leaves nothing to be desired. The rooms are functionally furnished, it is very clean. Apart from the breakfast room there are no other areas - no bar where you can have a drink in the evening.

I assume this is due to the successive bankruptcies and changes in ownership. It seems another crisis is just around the corner. Lovely hotel Lovely hotel well placed for access to the town. I managed to make use of the pool and had it to myself. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good choice of food but like many German hotels, no options for those with dietary requirements. We made the mistake of eating our evening meal here and it's fair to say it was basic. A set menu with no option for dietary needs.

This quaint little hotel was such a gem! Nestled right along the river in a charming small town, it had a warm and welcoming feel. There are many restaurant options nearby as well on property and the breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious—perfect for starting the day.

Excellent location and the staff were friendly and efficient. We ate in the restaurant too which was delicious. However our room was old and tired and very expensive for the price.

We stayed at this hotel for the 3rd time, everytime another room and experience. Pity that 5 persons apartment was not in main building and without bath and tea facilities. Beds were excellent, far better than regular hotels. River view is also very nice. Half board is a good add on but slightly expensive.

The accommodations here are very cozy, with comfortable beds, hot showers, and reasonably fast Internet. Location is everything for this property as it’s right in the middle of a quaint village with lots of charm. The restaurant provides good basic cooking at reasonable prices. Most anyone would be very happy to stay in the hotel.

Great hotel, within walking distance of all the sights in Monschau. Our navigation system lost its signal when we were driving there. Luckily, we made a guess and got it right. Parking at the hotel is limited. Fortunately, there's a parking garage nearby.

The room, bed and shower were perfect for a stay after Eifelsteig stage 2 (though some rooms/showers are reported to be small, better to ask to see the room first). Breakfast is ok, though service for hikers is bad: 8 euro to fill a bottle of hot water (while mentioning 1 euro when checking in)! The bakery cafe near te main square is a good alternative to fill your bottle for stage 3, at the price...

What you see is what you get. It’s a historic building. As long as you don’t expect modern luxurious rooms, you’re okay. Old fashioned decorated interior and rooms. But it suits the experience. Bathrooms are a little too small though.

We had a lovely week at Dormio Eifeler Tor. The park itself is well maintained, has a nice pool to cool off on hotter days and also a good selection of bakery items / coffee to go for the mornings, making for a comfortable stay. For kids - ours range in age from 0 to 7 - there is plenty to do even though the park is on the small side. We made good use of the pool, the soccer cage and the two playgrounds...

Great resort on the outskirts of Heimbach, with an amazing view over Hasenfeld village. Great base for cyclist ready to do some climbing (❤️ climbs to Mariawald, Schmidt, and Kermeter). The resort is very kid friendly, which, unfortunately, led us to wake up every morning around 5 AM due to crying babies 🤣. Supermarket on premises was OK, better to go to supermarkets in Hasenfeld.

The location ist very nice. A big downside for families with kids is that many guests park their cars all day and night in front of the guest houses, although this is officially not allowed. But there seems to be no enforcement of car parking rules, thus nobody makes sure, that cars stop at the houses only for un/loading and are driven to the big parking space across the road.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful area though we were on foot backpacking and unfortunately there was no evening food available so we didn’t eat as it was a walk back into town. Nice area to explore either walking or cycling and was very close to walk to the ferry on Rursee to go on to Rurburg.

We had stayed for 4 nights at Pension Haus Diefenbach. It was easy to find and very dog-friendly (the dog even got treats and there are bowls in the room). The room was functionally furnished and very clean. The bathroom was very clean, but it was clearly missing hooks for hanging towels and washcloths. There wasn't enough storage space for cosmetics. There was also no shelf for shampoo and shower gel in the shower, and no place to dry used hand and bath towels. The breakfast was very poor and unimaginative for the price.

The accommodation is good, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I met a few other bikers there. I was out on my motorcycle. There's a gyro restaurant in town. The food there is very tasty and inexpensive.

Our stay in Room #4 at Zur Ewigen Lampe was excellent. The room itself is beautiful and remarkably spacious, maintained to a spotless standard of cleanliness. Very beautiful and calm rural stay. Rooms are very comfortable, clean, with lots of eye for detail. Breakfast is great and the service is some of the friendliest we have gotten since a while. Owners are very kind and respectful! Would recommend 100% for solo travellers, couples, and business stays!

Absolutely lovely hotel..clean, comfortable with a wonderful breakfast. We came for a family wedding and couldn’t have asked for anywhere better! If I’m going to be picky coffee/tea facilities in the room would have made it 5 stars! Highly recommend and will definitely come back for another visit!

The guesthouse is in a very quiet location. The shower, kitchen, and living room are shared by all the guests. The only possible criticism is that conversations from the room can easily be heard from outside, even when spoken quietly.

Prima. Ik was hier om te fietsen. Je kunt de Eifel, zowel in België als in Duitsland en je kunt richting Zuid-Limburg. Er is een gedeelde keuken en daar kun je als je wilt eten maken. Ook kun je koffie zetten (staat er gewoon) en ontbijten. Dat vond ik handig.

I have really enjoyed staying here. Had a small and cosy private room on the 2nd floor. It was clean and very warm. On the 1st floor there is a spatious kitchen with all one need to roast, boil or bake. Nice living room nearby. The Ms. Doemens was really nice and polite.

Beautiful setting, admirable menu, super sevice from the waiters who are very friendly and attentive! My favorite is their French Onion Soup, and there is great salad bar.

Situated just outside City with Park & Ride a few minutes walk with very frequent bus service into the City centre. Made very welcome on arrival and directed to pleasant, spacious room. The restaurant was good for our evening meal and a good breakfast provided.

This hotel is exceptionally clean. Room is nice and big. The only con is the smell. There’s a very strong smell of soap on the hallway and in the room. Very good for lunch after a funeral. It is in walkable distance (4 minutes of walking). Everyone liked the food and having a small room to ourselves helped a lot.

The staff is very nice and helpfull. We had a very warm welcome. After checking in we brought our luggage to the room and went to the restaurant for diner. The food was amazing, I loved the Aachener Sauerbraten. The meat was so tender and the sauce was really complimenting the meat instead of overpowering. And the creme brulee for dessert was so nice and sweet. One of the best I have tasted in a while...

2 Major issues: 1-It was claimed to have a swimming pool durin booking. The lady told it's closed and that's it. (If so, why am I fooled?) 2-Too much dust on the table and you can see fingerprints, maybe not wiped in 2 weeks. Could be cleaner.

I recently stayed here before hiking the Eifelsteig and I was very happy with my stay. It's not a super luxurious place, but it provided all I needed and the staff was especially friendly and helpful. The lady at the reception seemed as excited about my hike as I was :-) The lunch package was also great. It gave me plenty of fuel for my day on the trail.

After reading the reviews here I expected the worst. But I was pleasantly surprised: Super comfy bed (slept like a rock), good smelling room, quiet surroundings, friendly staff, even a bathtub. Of course you can't expect a 5 star hotel and I wouldn't spend an entire vacation here, but for the price we paid (63€ one night for 2 people) it was absolutely great.

Older hotel with all the amenities, but could use some room upgrades. Mattress was soft, bathroom was small and should have a shower curtain to be able to take a normal shower without making the whole bathroom wet. It’s conveniently located, near the highway but close enough to the old town. It’s a little dated but nice enough and clean. quiet neighborhood and parking available right in front. The parking is on a steep hill which was a bit of a challenge for us, but our car has lower ground clearance than most.

We had a nice stay at the Art hotel. The room was lovely and very nice breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and a really nice bathroom. However, what stood out were the staff. We had some car issues and they really went out of their way to help us get this sorted. It was really so appreciated to have this support and help when travelling in a different country to home. Playing the “we have two hotels” game. Even the first photo is from a different hotel — a 4-star one, not the 3-star property under this address. They advertise a sauna and fitness room for this address on booking sites, but apparently those facilities are actually in the other hotel. It’s clean, but that’s about it.

The new guy Muhammad is very decent guy and he does his work professionally and he has very good communications skills the food and goos all are great and taste just perfect. Very recommend

I was at an wedding event and I didn't sleep there but the first impressions was very good.

The hotel has a new and an old building. I stayed in the new one. The room was good and clean. The breakfast was worth the extra. Something for everybody, hot and cold, was served in the new building.The staff was professional. The restaurant is located in the old building but i haven't had a meal there. I can recommend this hotel.

Just for one night, but surprisingly cosy, great service and menu. And a great terrace for parents with children. We will be back

All dishes were made to perfection. The sliced roast beef is especially good and tender. This restaurant has room for medium to large size groups.

staff was great , no kitchen utilities including no kettle, both double beds was just 2 single beds pushed together , pillows was pathetic and x2 single duvets for a kind size bed . very dissapointed with the sleeping facilities .

Stopped here a few times and last night used the restaurant for the first time. Waiter was grumpy that we hadn’t reserved a table, it was busy and we may need to wait. His manner and tone of voice was disappointing.

The hotel is very good as a space for families with one or two children, but it is difficult to deal with the reception. The treatment is dry and rough.

very nice hotel near the outer ring of the city. Only about a 10 minute drive to downtown, 15-20 minutes to RWTH. My room was spacious with a separate bedroom. There was a small kitchen but there were absolutely no plates, utensils, pots, etc. The dining room did let me take a fork, knife and plate to keep in my room. Underground parking is available for €15 per night.

lovely staff and a great old house. my room was clean and big but maybe facing the wrong side...or you bring ear plugs. the bathroom had everything what is needed but a little dated. at the end, I would go there again :)

Friendly hostel Very spacious room (for 4 people, but there were 2 of us), simply furnished, located on the ground floor. Bathroom accessible to disabled people (unrequested), so toilet and shower are in the same place (which is not the case in standard rooms). No soap or cups. Beautiful youth hostel on the outskirts of town, surrounded by greenery. The staff is extremely friendly, competent, and accommodating. The clean room is spacious and very quiet. The breakfast is delicious and leaves nothing to be desired. The bus stop is a 4-minute walk away.

Anyone booking an overnight stay at a youth hostel should be aware that it's a youth hostel. So, don't expect a spa, a king-size bed, or a TV in your room. Beautifully furnished room. The highlight was the bunk bed hidden behind sliding doors. The kids loved it. They said it was like being in a hotel. The sinks, etc., were clean, and there were two of them. We were even asked in the morning if our bathroom needed cleaning.
