Wonderful!! We have stayed in a lot of hotels, over the last 50 years. This is by far the best one we have ever stayed in. There has only been one other that we have given almost top marks to, but this one excelled. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful. They went far and beyond, what you would normally expect. They were so helpful and answered every question...

We were on business trip for Messe Dusseldorf and we choose hotel Mathildenhof as our resting place, as we did 5 years ago. The owner changed but accommodation remained at highest level of service. The staff was very pleasant and heart-welcomed, especially junior manager, and we felt like home, being so far from it. Thank You for making our staying truly enjoyable.We look forward coming back again

I ate at the restaurant (didn't stay in a hotel) and the food was very good. I ordered the stake and it was served swiftly. It was very nice sitting outside as well. I can totally recommend the restaurant.

Cosy and warm environment. Friendly with guests and very nice Croatian behaves. Car park ok and meals (meat) super. Thanks !

This is our fourth stay in the Ascari over the past four years & we have seen a lot of changes, some good, some not so good. But I would put it down to work in progress....front of house, reception is more welcoming, the dining area has altered & has been updated..... And although the breakfast is still of a high standard, dinner is not quite as good as it was. The staff are friendly & attentive....

As this is the Hotel my company chooses to have colleagues stay during our visits to Cologne, I wanted to write a review to comment on the staff at Ascari Hotel. They were always welcoming and friendly. Being from America and only speaking English they were very patient and willing to help. I travel often and have stayed at many different hotels. I have not felt as welcomed as I was at Ascari Hotel...

Since the hotel has completed renovation of the reception, bar and dining areas, there is a much nicer feel to the place. The rooms are clean, quiet and adequate, although the bathrooms could no with modernisation. A straight forward place to stay, friendly staff, ideal for business, good value for money

Very nice hotel having all facilities

Good location, friendly staff how ever limited supplies in the room we had no milk for the tea and coffee. Train station is 2 mins walk from hotel and cologne center is a 15min train journey. Very easy to get too. Plenty of free of street parking. Highly recommend.

Room is good, but breakfast was a disaster. At about 08:30, no more scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, plain yoghurt, and other things. Flagged down staff, they mumble something and disappear into the kitchen. Then the tables. Not a single table has been cleaned, so you are forced to either sit at a dirty table staring at someone else's leftovers, or sit with someone else altogether.

We stayed here for a weekend trip. The rooms are functional and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The coffee at breakfast was delicious, and the beds were very comfortable. We would gladly come back!

A very basic hotel offering just the bare essentials in the room. The room itself was only moderately clean and not very comfortable. No chair or armchair, just stools. The bathroom with shower and toilet was adequately sized, but I wouldn't want to stay here for more than one night. The few staff members are very friendly. There's only a snack vending machine. Breakfast is minimal and consists entirely...

We had a lovely room with a lake view :) Breakfast was small but delicious. Free parking was available right at the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Das Hotel macht einen neuwertigen und sauberen Eindruck. Das Zimmer war groß mit Couch und Sitzecke. Wenn man nach 23:00 Uhr anreist, kann man sich telefonisch einen Code für den Schlüsselsafe geben lassen. Die Lage ist in einem Industriegebiet. Das hat den Vorteil, dass es nachts sehr ruhig ist und es genügend Parkplätze gibt. Der Nachteil ist, dass die unmittelbare Umgebung nicht allzu einladend...

The hotel itself is nice and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very expensive for the price, and the hotel itself is pretty out of the way, feels like in the middle of nowhere. But overall it was a nice stay.

The welcome was terrible. First, there was a 10-15 minute argument because they couldn't find my reservation. They claimed Trip.com canceled it but said the payment would be processed later. Absolutely unreliable.

Excellent hotel, there is parking, very large room, it's a pity there is no kettle

The hotel is just a one-minute walk from Cologne, and the atmosphere is similar to that of a school trip, but it's perfectly adequate for a one-night stay.

Unusual smell of fish in my room, there is no WiFi despite being advertised as having it. There was no one at the front desk for the 1st hour after I arrived. Conveniently located by shops as well as train station. Comfortable and affordable.
