It was okay for a night stay, we were limited with choice.
Nice hosts but the room accommodation is dated and aging.
The town is worthy of a night to enjoy a walk and visit a local tavern.

Basic but convenient
It was simple and traditional, and within easy reach of Bacharach centre.

No tea or coffee in room or WiFi, so felt being overcharged for what I got.

Breakfast was overpriced at €15 for a buffet. Did not have this as a result.

We did not read all the instructions when booking and arrived late. The host was gracious though.

Family run. Friendly host. Room big and nicely eqipped with basics. No elevator only stairs would be difficilt for carrying luggages to room.

Bacharach accommodation
Property needs updating, Bedding is of poor quality and old, we had plenty of large green insects in the room. One of the pillows had blood on it. Cobwebs around the TV. Kettle needs replacing. Bathroom not too bad and clean however towels provided were so worn more like big rags.

Five stars
Stefan and Sybil were such gracious hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (and breakfast!) at their lovely pension and will return next time we are in Bacharach.

Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had a ground level room and appreciated not having to carry our luggage up stairs. Breakfast was typical fare and the coffee was very good. The town area is a short walk away. We would stay again.

The room was clean and tidy, with a kettle and a fan. The shower and toilet also worked well. The overall cost performance is high. I think breakfast is a bit expensive, and I didn't have breakfast due to time constraints

I never EVER write reviews, it's just not my thing. However, my stay and experience here was so memorable, I couldn't resist.

I backpacked through Europe back in 2015 and stayed here during my trip to the Rhine. Sybille and Stefan were very hospitable and both a treat to visit with. I heard about this place through Rick Steves' "Best of Europe" book. The room was very clean and quiet. Not to mention the breakfast was good all 3 days while I was there.

In addition, I had to order some train reservations last minute before I left the states and wouldn't be home to receive them. I emailed Sybille to see if I could send them to her; she didn't hesitate to help. Not only did she email me when they arrived, but 25 days later when I arrived, the first thing she handed me were my train tickets!

I will definitely be staying here on my next trip! I highly HIGHLY recommend staying here above anywhere else along this section of the Rhine!!
