The property doesn't have air conditioning, and no fitness room. It was hot. Everything else is wonderful.

Very outdated and overpriced. The hotel is clean and in a good location. The staff was inattentive and the service (check-in, breakfast etc.) was poor. Parking was expensive (1euro/hour) and breakfast quality was very poor for 19 euro / person. I would stay somewhere else next time.

Some of the areas seem dated but the rooms are fairly modern. The single rooms are small (with the bathroom in the room) but comfortable enough for a short stay. This hotel was a unbelievable surprise as our family was walking along the famous Rheinsteig trail. The hotel and restaurant service were the best we have had in Germany in 10 years living here. New facility recently purchased by Leonardo. Up on a hill above the center of town where all the attractions are. Downhill to town but uphill going back to the hotel. But the area seems safe.

The hotel was indeed under renovation. When I went there, they were still working on the ceiling in the lobby. The elevator was a bit shaky, I don’t know if it was because it was also under renovation. The room space was okay, a little cramped for two people. There was a smell because of the new renovation, but it was fine to let it out after opening the window for half a day.

This was a great hotel. They allowed you to choose the frequency of room cleaning which was nice! Would have liked a recycle container in the room. Only a coffee pod machine in the room, which isn't ideal for tea (and leaks when you use it for tea), so a kettle would be preferred for this tea drinker. I wish if lift goes to all floors. Since I had carry up heavy luggages by steps from ground to the 1st floor and another steep steps ffom the highest floor for the lift on the 3rd floor to upper floor where the room was located, I twisted and injured my knee.
