Schloss Miramar in Bad Elster

A building that is getting on in years. Has old charm. Unfortunately this is diminished by the kitschy furnishings in the stairwell and the painted old railings. It's a matter of taste. We had an apartment without breakfast. Breakfast room not cozy.
Location and surroundings very good. It's quick to get to Bad Elster. House very quiet. Unfortunately, Lake Luisa is still under construction, but the landlord cannot help it. The apartment on the 2nd floor has a beautiful view. Parking o.k.
This is where our problem begins. We asked the landlady for a washing up sponge on the first day, as there was only a small tablecloth. Tea towels oll, with holes, without hooks for hanging. Your reaction was that that would be the case and why we would come with criticism in the new year. We then received other tea towels (also oll) and bought a washing up sponge. When we left, we had the impression that our tips were rather annoying. The reaction: Everyone else is always satisfied, we would be the first ... Fortunately, reviews in other portals about Miramar (e.g. HSR) confirm our impression

We had a two bedroom vacation rental. The size of the apartment o.k. Overall, the apartment was pretty shabby, which you only see at second glance. Wallpapers partly wavy. Kitchen more like a kitchenette, poorly lit. Stove without an oven and showing its age. Seating landscape cozy at first glance, but not suitable for sitting, only if you pull up your legs. Seat much too deep. Crockery partly old and inadequate. Only one bowl for 4 people. If you are preparing meat or fish, no platter is available. Nothing for sauce, no trash bags. Bathroom was ok Beds were well located. However, a bedroom is more of a bedroom and is separated from the living room by a plastic sliding door. You can't see it in the pictures.

Overall, we were not satisfied with the price-performance ratio. The apartment costs 80 euros per night for 4 people. We have had many nicer apartments with a much better standard for up to 70 euros. We found it cheeky that, although we had our own towels with us, we had to pay an additional two euros per person. Should be included in the price. Even when we pointed this out to the landlady, the money was not reimbursed. Plus daily 2.20 euros per person tourist tax, this is not cheap fun. All in all, the feeling remains uncomfortable.

The price-performance ratio is not right here.
