I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, it's very run down and desperately needs a renovation. On the other hand, it's charming East Germany design and super friendly owners are a big draw. If you are okay with a few days of time travel to the past, this is a good choice also because of the central location.

Can only rate the restaurant. Went here for dinner, everything was ok. Price-performance fits. The 2 bosses were really nice

Older but clean hotel with good service. Nice greeting by the boss and immediately got a delicious dinner. Location 20 min walk to the natural stage perfect for me. Hotel taxi was kindly offered to me. But politely declined. The room was large and the bed was great and I slept very well. Car noise early on Sundays because the baker is across the street. Acceptable, I'm not spoiled and took some delicious GDR cake with me, which unfortunately doesn't exist in Bavaria. Breakfast was very plentiful and everything was available, including salmon. I'd love to come back, fits for a weekend trip.

We came to the restaurant to eat something and had to wait a few minutes until we were noticed and we were assigned a seat. The boss then came to us and brought us the tickets and unkindly pointed out that we should leave our jackets in the cloakroom. The tablecloth was still stained from lunch or the day before. The food was not really hot but cold to lukewarm and the side dishes such as salad or vegetables were each a small spoon. The staff was unfriendly and obviously didn't want to, which it clearly showed. When paying by card, there was excitement that the restaurant had to pay €5 for Visa cards, although one could say/write in advance that only EC cards were accepted.

One of best hotel in the region as price/performance.
Breakfast is also good enough.
The region is perfect place to relax all year around.
