Spectacular location and an absolutely charming hotel. Room was massive and breakfast was great. Top tip - if you want to eat dinner at their restaurant (and you do - delicious) make sure to book in advance. Also, if you're considering just doing a day trip to Meissen instead, don't. Stay at least two nights. This town is spectacular.

The restaurant is excellent. "Meissner Schwerter" beer is the best, it is from the oldest private brewery from Saxony, over 450 years old. The food is traditional and the service very nice, fast and friendly. You eat and drink good and feel the history.

Charming hotel and restaurant right in the heart of Meißen. Friendly service and a really nice room at a great price in the center of town. We had a great room overlooking the Markt and we were happy to find a place for 3 person occupancy which is not always easy to do in Germany.

Not so good at all wee dont recommend this place!!!!!!!!! Its take 40 minutes for a salad to come, we where 4 people the say 15 minutes for the food, and wee teel them 2 times No discount or no costumer feeling at al... If you want to eat have a lot of time.....

We visited only the restaurant.
It was great food, comforting service and really good prices.
We paid for our 2 meals (haxn and Leberkäse) on haxnday below than 30€ for food and drinks 👌👌
Although nice was the scenery and that the waitresses were wearing Trachten.

Nice place to stay, directly in the old town. The beer 🍺 taste really good. Very friendly waitress. I believe we will come back soon.

The staff is very aggressive and unfriendly, I don't understand why my parents and I were treated boorishly and what the waiter didn't like when my father approached him, maybe my father's smile? Although he treated the other German-speaking customers with a smile and was polite. Perhaps he didn't like that I asked him to speak Ukrainian, and not Russian as suggested by the waiter. At the same time, he refused to speak to me in English because he didn't want to. Decriminalization and only. Maybe the restaurant is wonderful, the beer in the whole city is amazing. But.... Thanks for the bad mood.

The room was clean and roomy, especially the bathroom. The location is excellent. The beds were too hard for my taste.

The city of Meißen was wonderful - picturesque and peaceful. And the Hotel Residenz am Markt was in the perfect location next to the Frauenkirche with its porcelain bells. Friendly service, clean and pretty room, comfortable bed, large bathroom. Nice breakfast buffet, good coffee and a nice Café as well. Highly recommended!

Hotel - very nice rooms in the old town of Meißen. Central as it gets, almost. Very good Breakfast in the premises of the cafes.Very nice staff. Only with the car, it is a little difficult to accommodate.
Café - Very good cakes, coffee specialities and in the front part (to the market) a nice coffee house atmosphere. Highly recommend to you.
