Where to stay in Malente

We came here for a week in late November, looking forward to a relaxing spa break. They insisted that the whirpool (hot tub) is supposed to be at max 30°c. So it was cold and unusable during our stay here. The pillows are uncomfortable - one of them is lumpy and the other is narrow and hard. Room was okay. Spacious. Beautiful location by the lake. Parking is limited.

Nice hotel Vers nice stay. We where there only for one night. But everybody was very freindly and nice.

The room was ok, with old furniture which was not a problem, but the bed was too soft (for me and my wife of course) to the point of not being able to sleep. The pillows were also uncomfortable. The important thing, however, is that it was clean. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The highlight of the hotel is the fairly large swimming pool and jacuzzi. And of course the beautiful location it is...

The hotel is located in front of a nice lake. I consider this hotel as a hidden gem. Is very beautiful and comfortable. Staff is customer oriented specially the lady at the frontdesk she is amazing. We arrived late in the night after a long trip from Denmark and she always had the best attitude. The breakfast is very tasty and complete. Super recommended.

The hotel is a hidden gem in an amazing location in front of the lake and with an extraordinary service specially want to recognise the lady who took care of our checkin late in the day, she is simply amazing and very customer focused. Great location and a very nice pool

A very cozy little hotel with beautiful rooms, a small pool with spring water, a sauna with a plunge pool, and a Kneipp footbath. A wonderfully varied breakfast buffet with homemade jams and delicious coffee. Egg dishes and Bircher muesli are freshly prepared upon request. The owners are always friendly, very helpful, and amiable. Mrs. Lukas always takes the time to chat with her guests.

Wonderful, super clean, well run hotel direct on the Dieksee in Malente. Ms Lucas is a professional, friendly host. The breakfast room offers large windows with views to the lake. The selection at the breakfast buffet was exceptional with eggs made to order. The Wi-Fi was strong and always available wherever we were in the hotel. Pool and sauna are small but great for a refreshing swim and some sauna...

We have now been to this hotel four times. If you have anything to complain about here, you really can't help. The stay in this hotel is always great. From the warm hotel operators Ms. and Mr. Lucas, From the friendly staff, from the great hotel and everything that goes with it, we are always thrilled and feel very comfortable at Diekseequell !! We are looking forward to our next vacation in Bad Malente

Recomended Really nice hotel, can be recommended. Especially liked the balcony and the garden. However, i missed a clock in the room, as well as a kettle so you can make yourself a cup of coffee. But can definitely be recommended.

Beautiful location,nicely renovated,new built,clean,well applinted rooms,quiet,peaceful.Nice restaurant,slightly short staffed,good food.Just one thing,parking,quite a walk away and not secured.

A lovely overnight stay in an elegant ‘Hof’ on the lake. Lovely food for breakfast and dinner, comfortable elegant room and lovely grounds. Highly recommended!

Nice place with amazing location. Was walking around and looking at the stable and main house. It was so cold so you could not sit outside.

Beautiful little hotel, with fantastic, friendly service. Great breakfast, top clean rooms with a lake view. Location right on the Dieksee, it couldn't be better. Good options for storing bicycles. We had a wonderful few days.

Nice surroundings, amazing view from the balcony. A cozy hotel worth recommending. First-class breakfast, a choice of scrambled eggs, omelettes or fried eggs upon customer's request, made after placing the order, the rest in the form of a buffet. The hotel is beautifully located on the Dieksee Promenade. We even had a view of the cathedral forest. The room was very clean, the beds were large and the mattresses were good. The breakfast is a highlight. The staff approachable and friendly. The dog also suffered. For bathers, please note: there is a swimming pool on the lake not far from the hotel. The guest card allows free entry

Nicely located hotel. The room had a lake view and was very good in size and furnishings, only the bathroom was very small. Staff was very friendly...👍 The breakfast was very tasty and we didn't miss anything...you were personally asked for scrambled eggs or fried eggs. We (4 people) booked the large holiday apartment for 11 nights. The housekeeper was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. The breakfast we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. It was served on a trolley outside our room. Please note that the bathroom only has a bathtub and no shower – this might be helpful if anyone has a disability. Lake Dieksee is visible from the balcony door...

Very nice apartment. Modern, clean, and sufficiently spacious. The check-in process was seamless. Great location, right on Lake Dieksee. The breakfast service was perfect. Fresh and delicious food, with plenty of options. We can 100% recommend this accommodation.

We booked a very spacious apartment. It was roomy and perfectly suited for five people. The apartment was clean and well-furnished. It was nicely decorated without being cluttered. We had the breakfast service, which was carried out very conscientiously and always punctually by the housekeeper every morning. The breakfast was more than ample and offered something for everyone. Very nice apartment with 2 bedrooms. 3 balconies with different views. Very large and roomy cut. A radio would have been nice, but otherwise everything was there. Suitable for 4 to 5 people.
