We came here for a week in late November, looking forward to a relaxing spa break. They insisted that the whirpool (hot tub) is supposed to be at max 30°c. So it was cold and unusable during our stay here. The pillows are uncomfortable - one of them is lumpy and the other is narrow and hard. Room was okay. Spacious. Beautiful location by the lake. Parking is limited.

Nice hotel Vers nice stay. We where there only for one night. But everybody was very freindly and nice.

The room was ok, with old furniture which was not a problem, but the bed was too soft (for me and my wife of course) to the point of not being able to sleep. The pillows were also uncomfortable. The hotel is located in front of a nice lake. I consider this hotel as a hidden gem. Is very beautiful and comfortable. Staff is customer oriented specially the lady at the frontdesk she is amazing. We arrived late in the night after a long trip from Denmark and she always had the best attitude. The breakfast is very tasty and complete. Super recommended.

Great location and a very nice pool

A very cozy little hotel with beautiful rooms, a small pool with spring water, a sauna with a plunge pool, and a Kneipp footbath. A wonderfully varied breakfast buffet with homemade jams and delicious coffee. Egg dishes and Bircher muesli are freshly prepared upon request. The owners are always friendly, very helpful, and amiable. Mrs. Lukas always takes the time to chat with her guests.

Wonderful, super clean, well run hotel direct on the Dieksee in Malente. Ms Lucas is a professional, friendly host. The breakfast room offers large windows with views to the lake. The selection at the breakfast buffet was exceptional with eggs made to order. The Wi-Fi was strong and always available wherever we were in the hotel. We have now been to this hotel four times. If you have anything to complain about here, you really can't help. The stay in this hotel is always great. From the warm hotel operators Ms. and Mr. Lucas, From the friendly staff, from the great hotel and everything that goes with it, we are always thrilled and feel very comfortable at Diekseequell !! We are looking forward to our next vacation in Bad Malente

Recomended Really nice hotel, can be recommended. Especially liked the balcony and the garden. However, i missed a clock in the room, as well as a kettle so you can make yourself a cup of coffee. But can definitely be recommended.

The hotel is beautifully located on the Dieksee Promenade. We even had a view of the cathedral forest. The room was very clean, the beds were large and the mattresses were good. The breakfast is a highlight. The staff approachable and friendly. The dog also suffered. For bathers, please note: there is a swimming pool on the lake not far from the hotel. We (4 people) booked the large holiday apartment for 11 nights. The housekeeper was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. The breakfast we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. It was served on a trolley outside our room. Please note that the bathroom only has a bathtub and no shower – this might be helpful if anyone has a disability. Lake Dieksee is visible from the balcony door...

hotel was convenient to family we were visiting. easy access to bus station into the town and shops by the lake rooms were clean but not great / towels were not always replaced. shower in tub was a little slippery and no handle to hold on the wall/ nice view of the lake from balcony

It is a wonderful little gem to feel good with with a garden and bathing jetty right on Lake Plön. We received a very warm welcome from the hostess, really enjoyed the time there and will definitely be back.

Who loves it individually and especially- this is the right place for you: this lovingly owner-managed hotel garni has something special: the location with meadow and jetty on the lake, an unusually stylish ambience of the rooms (even if not everything is very modern - the house has history), the facilities, the service (If you are looking for hotel chain charm and modern "off the shelf" - not here...

Since our ship trip was canceled, we were able to extend it at short notice. Hotel is great, very tasteful in the style of the 20s, friendly landlady and employees. Despite the conditions (flu) we felt comfortable. Breakfast with love and homemade jams are particularly recommended. Thank you, it was very good.

Nice place, but overpriced, really bad internet connection (both wifi and mobile data). Also the kitchen was not well equipped. Wellness area and massages were very nice. The room was nice but it had some broken things.

Probably ok-ish summerhotel but super-expensive off-season compared to quality/comfort. Charge like a fourstar, oddly rates three, should be two. Stayed at Wyndham in Osnabrück and Clarion Grand in Malmö before/after, both hotels half the price, tripple comfort. Cant recommend to any traveller.

This was one one of our favorite places we stayed at while in Germany. Our room was big and and clean . Very close walking distance to the beach and restaurants. I could live in this apartment!!

One star deducted for the lack of WiFi in our room, and the hotel can't be held responsible for the stolen flip-flops in the hotel sauna. Still, it's a shame that something like that spoiled our stay a little. Otherwise, everything was very nice.

We spent our holiday in Scharbeutz with 4 generations and everyone felt completely at home at Bayside. Rummet rent o i gott skick. Var väldigt litet, fick inte plats med typ resväskor eller hänga kläder någonstans. Hade även 2 mellanstora hundar med oss. Så det blev väldigt trångt. Betalade mycket för hundarna, men de hade bara satt fram en hundskål!

Great breakfast buffet, lots of assortments. Nice large rooms with comfortable beds. Rooms in an annex 300 m from main building. Parking was almost full, quite sandy and partly muddy.

Good hotel in nice surroundings Nice area by the golfcource. Large and good room. Breakfast very good. Nice terrace to have a glas of wine in the evening. Irritating having to order by your mobile or a screen. The bar didn't recommend any wine and asked us to look digitally. Maybe modern times. To sum it up, a nice place to stay.

Very nice location, in the restaurant upstairs there is a TV on which sports can be streamed if desired and there is a large selection of drinks. But the selection of food is not huge but it is very tasty. The service and staff are very friendly and willing to chat.

We booked spontaneously and had great days in the historic hotel. We got an upgrade and had a great room with a sea view. The service was super nice and we felt very comfortable. The location is perfect with proximity to the beach and downtown. We'd love to come back.

It's been a while, but it's still worth a good review. We've been there twice for several days, always in the family suite, and were always thrilled. Nice staff, great service, nice location, very close to the beach only a short walk about 100m maximum. The city center is also nearby and also the Baltic Sea thermal baths. Our daughter liked the loft bed best. Highly recommended, gladly again.

They didn’t let me get in before 3pm and they fail to Book halbe Pension (breakfast and dinner) for the day after, so I was thrown out of the restaurant when I wanted to have dinner. Pool is so nice, outside and inside, we spend a lot of time there. We were this summer for the 5th time in this comfortable and top located hotel. This time we were again completely satisfied. Excellent service, pool, fitness area, room with balcony and spectacular view over the bay. Breakfast was superb. In a hotel with three or more stars, I would expect tea and coffee making facilities as standard equipment. A coffee machine was provided only on request.

I have stayed here on 3 different occasions and it remains one of my favorite hotels. The breakfast alone is worth the trip, but the rooms are well appointed and the staff is very friendly. I've stayed in many hotels where they claim to be 5 star but they were lacking in many areas. That's just not the case here and I'm a little surprised at the harsh comments from other people.

The photos of the hotel and rooms on the hotel web site are very good. The service was not attentive, the were occupied with themselves more then with the guests. Breakfast mediocre. Rooms quite used up, small and not well furnished or thought through... Eg. The doors to the restrooms are just a glass door, the does not dampens anything... If you are OK with it... We stayed in this hotel as a couple and felt completely comfortable. The staff was very friendly in all areas. We liked the opportunity to sit on the ground floor in the evening with a glass of wine, etc. We had a small balcony and from there we could even see a little bit of the Baltic Sea, which was about a 3-minute walk away. Although the hotel is in a renovation phase, everything is still very nice and cozy. The rooms are not ready yet, but the breakfast rooms are beautiful and there is a super delicious breakfast with a very nice team that is always friendly and courteous. We are glad that we were able to vacation there again, like every year. Many thanks at this point to the first-class team!

The location was not so good, but the rooms service and all these things waa perfect and the Frühstück was very delicous.

A great hotel in a beautiful location! However, the shower is disastrous, the shower jet is so hard that it really hurts to shower. The mattresses are also very worn out. And the friendliness of the info mails, as well as the hotel owner really left a lot to be desired.

Great location to the beach, port and center. Very nice rooms and facilities. In-house restaurant directly on the promenade. Everything clean and modern. We felt very comfortable. Personal contact with the landlord would be recommended.
