We choose this hotel because of it's spa services and that it was directly on the beach. The reception area is light and modern. The staff are friendly but speak mainly German but do their best to speak English. The rooms are big enough and are clean and light. The beds are very comfortable. The spa facilities are very good and very welcoming after a long and cold walk on the beach.

Loved it overall. Squeaky clean rooms (and hotel as a whole).
Has elevator and wheelchair access. Great food in a restaurant. The only sore point would be tiny and outdated bathroom. Still, nice package overall.

The Ambassador is located in front of St. Peter’s wooden pier, close to a small shopping area and a less crowded beach section with several stilt houses. This area is called St. Peter Bad and located in the middle of the long spread community of St. Peter at the German North Sea shore.
The hotel is managed privately and belongs to the upscale accommodations in St. Peter. The rates aren’t cheap but if you take advantage of all the amenities it pays off.
First, as mentioned above the hotel is perfectly located just steps away the wooden pier and the miles long beach.
Second, wifi, parking and breakfast are complimentary and the latter is incredibly delicious and comes with a lot of variety.
Third, the hotel has a spa and pool area including a sauna and offers different free sports activities. Amongst them are Nordic Walking through the close by forest, Aquarobics in the pool area or Asia Fit on the top floor with nice views over the shore.
Moreover the Ambassador offers free baths on the hotel’s rooftop overlooking the wooden pier and beach during sunset. This is just awesome but I recommend to make a reserve with your booking since there are only two Jacuzzis available.
The rooms are spacious and even if you do not have an ocean view room you can expect a nice outlook.
The whole staff is obliging and helpful and although I only spent two nights here with my family it was one of the most relaxing escapes I experienced!

Great room in the new wing, but this is the only positive at this stage. as mediocre food quality, lousy parking situation in general extremely inferior service as well as personnel shortage but still charging full prices - very bad price performance relation in general

I was not able to do a reservation as the person at phone was upset by answering to a call in English and really no happy to discuss about any booking. A shame for this sort of place.

4 star ? Should be reevaluated . No dinner after 20:00 hrs , no room service, 250 euro per night without the possibility to open a window.

Great location, friendly personnel, sauna and workout room up to date, nice wellness area and great breakfast buffet. Rooms pricey but in good shape.

First bear in mind that I could not cancel some rooms of the booking right in advance and started to negotiate any solution like the cancellation of cancellation fee or maybe dates amendment but hotel manager(in) was as ruthless as the Prussian Corporal. RULES MUST BE OBEYED!
Do not expect therefore any genuine, sincere courtesy and hospitality from the hotel. During and after my negotiations the receptionists were smiling and compasionete to me - thank You very much - while managed started to threatened to call the police and forbade me to enter the room I had received and stayed overnight. What's more, my things were in the room and I was denied access because the hotel had some problem with charging my credit card - for their fault. My explanation was that my card was already charged. The manager said that I was lying and I'm not a guest! Horrifying and unacceptable!
Therefore my review is slightly affected by the the unpleasantness of contacting the manager(in). But emotions to the side and trust me in my honest opinion.
In addition, I want to say that I had booked at the same time for the rest of the group at the hotel next door, STRANDGUT and there was no problem to agree during a single phone call to grant a free cancellation. I wish I could have stayed at STRANDGUT again - modern in terms of architecture and interiors and approach to the guest!
I've booked "strand-view" rooms and got a dead-end room with a "side-glimpse-strand-view" room. After some negotiations finaly got proper "beach-view" room. But got a chance to review the rooms not only one. Someone would call the hotel "vintage" but it is old and pretentious. 4 star - seriously! Everything was clean no doubts but old and old fashioned. Using AIRBNB I have a higher chance for nice real vintage for much less money.
Generally, I will never come back here and will recommend everyone to consider a stay carefully!
